Gabe Wins A Contest
Part One:
"Hey Dad, guess what?" Gabe asks excitedly. No answer from Bob Duncan (A.k.a. Dad).
"I won a contest for $500", Gabe says quickly.
Stunned, Dad replies, "What contest would you be allowed to compete in?"
"Good question, but I competed in the areas stupidest people contest, and I won".
"Wow, why don't you tell your mother, I bet she will be as stunned and shocked as I was".
"Dad, can I tell you a secret?"
"Ask your mother".
Gabe looks around the room slowly, observing his surroundings and shrugs his shoulders repeatedly, and then looks at Bob again. Bob is sitting on the old couch, reading a newspaper, called 'The Times'.
"Dad, can you?"
"Okay I will keep this thunderous secret", Bob says sarcastically.
"Mom said I wasn't allowed to compete in this contest, so I did. Bye Dad".
Bob Duncan stares at his newspaper, to stunned to move his unfit muscles to put his paper down. At this point, Charlie enters the room laughing. As quick as a Cheetah, Bob puts his paper on the ground and picks Charlie up and turns her talking Unicorn On.
