Witness
Jane and Lisbon met for some coffee at a café, Jane couldn't help but notice a girl tearing up and trembling. He mentions it to Lisbon they finish and leave they go outside and stop. they just wait by the door, Then the girl comes out and she starts to run a man jumps out of an alley and starts chasing her, Jane stares and Lisbon gets in the car to chase after them as well. Lisbon keeps driving and stops to see the girl in the alley just laying there, She didn't know what to do. As any detective would she checked the girls pulse she was dying, Lisbon puts her in the car and starts driving to the hospital.
"What do I do for the moment" Jane said to himself.
he called Cho to come and pick him up but Cho was busy as always Jane tried to convince him but I just didn't seem to work, So he called van pelt but she had the day off so he went back in and bought a tea. right as he gets it (the tea wasn't to go)Lisbon calls she is crying.
"I didn't make it she is dead what do I do" she said
"Lisbon calm down take her to the hospital tell them what happened and then answer some questions from the police oh and give them some sarcasm they should like that" said Jane trying to keep a light mood, but Lisbon didn't like him doing that.
"Jane I don't want to do that it takes too much time" Lisbon said.
"Lisbon we were just at the wrong place at the wrong time I will go and question with you to I was a witness to so we are in it together" Jane said not really wanting to be questioned. Lisbon did as Jane told her to do and the doctors didn't find any big problems with her they thought it could be natural causes until they looked at her back they saw a big stab mark. They stared they couldn't believe what they saw, They were going to look at all the security cameras at every angle to try and get the killer, Jane wasn't going to really care but Lisbon felt responsible for not getting the killer she didn't care about the man she wanted to save the girl. her age still not identified they couldn't find an id on her so they put up posters with her picture saying do you know this women. Weeks went by then they finally got a call it was the victim's sister she gave all of her information and they talked to her and got some background information.
"Jane how could I let the man go" she said feeling guilty.
"Lisbon you have to let it go" he said getting annoyed with her questions.
"How am I suppose to let it go I was in a ten foot radius of the killer how am I suppose to let it go" She said wondering what he would feel like if it happened to him.
