Gibbs walks in, smiles and welcomes Kate back with a kiss on her forehead. This was new to her. Gibbs had only ever kissed Abby (in a non sexual way) Gibbs double checking Kate was ready to return to work and with Kate reassurance that she has spent enough time locked up, then in Hospital, then with Tony. That she was deffenaly ready to move on and start living again.
As Gibbs and Kate were half way up the stairs to see the director Tony yelled out that they had a case. Gibbs saying it will have to wait, but Tony yelling back I don't think it can. Gibbs walks back down the stair and finding out the details of the case.

Kate – good to see nothing has changed.
After Abby runs in and hugs Kate the team is on its way. Arriving at the house was a little more interesting then they anticipated. It was in fact Fornel that had tried to get Gibbs in on this case. The marine thought N.C.I.S was behind his wife's death, so they were greeted with a gun pointed straight at there heads. The team all pulled there guns and with Gibbs trying to talk to the marine to find out exactly what was going on. The marine (mark) was telling them to back away and that he does not trust them. Kate lowering her gun just wanting to talk, And Gibbs convincing Mark they just want to talk. Mark allows them in. They get into the kitchen when they hear gun shots. Kate covers Mark and Gibbs and Tony run out to a car speeding down the road. They return with Gibbs saying do you trust us now before you get us all killed. All eyes are on Kate to see if she can handle it. A very intense moment for her. Kate dusting herself off and helping the marine of the floor. Gibbs is on the phone to McGee giving him the license number of the car. After hanging up on McGee and looking at mark as he is telling Tony his story about what has happened to his wife, He gets a call from Ziva
Gibbs walks out side and carries out a conversation with Ziva where she clams she has nothing to do with what happened to Kate, but she understands that it looks bad on her side. Gibbs follows with why did you run and asked her to come in to head guaters. After Ziva blames her father for what happened to Kate. Gibbs tells her to come in. Then hangs up on her.
Gibbs walks back into Marks house, Tells the team to pack up and that we are going. Marks looks confused. Gibbs uses the excuse that some one went to a lot of trouble to make sure you wouldn't call N.C.I.S and as soon as we arrive they start shooting, I m having a friend from the F.B.I keep you under surveillance until things calm down we will be in touch. Tony looks confused but does not say a thing.
