Mayura slowly swung back and forth. She was sitting on one of the swings
in the park, staring at the ground. It was raining and she was soaked. But it didn't matter. It just didn't matter anymore. After what happened, nothing mattered. Loki-kun was gone. And it was all her fault. How could she have been so dumb? Maybe it would have been better if she had just minded her own business. No. It definitely would have been better if she had minded her own business. But it was too late now. At least she could do something. She could spare everyone else. 'It'd be better if I didn't exist,' she told herself 'Loki-kun would still be here and Papa wouldn't worry so much. It's all because I'm here. Because I'm such a baka!' She slowly rose to her feet, her tears mixing with the rain. 'Everyone would be happier if I just didn't exist.' She walked to a bridge, the water rushing beneath her. She stared at it with expressionless eyes. With every thought, she took a step toward the edge. She looked back one last tie and then closed her eyes. One last step. One step until freedom. One step until the end. Just one single step…
"Mayura!"
She turned and opened her eyes to see a wet Loki. He was running towards her, screaming her name. She smiled sadly and said a silent, "I'm sorry." Then she fell backwards, into the churning river.
Loki ran to the edge of the bridge, but a second too late. She was gone.
She had left him standing in the rain.
