Introduction
Kim writes the following.
Kim's Diary Monday, May 14, 2007I am lost in a black mystery world. I am floating, and I can only see a tiny bright light in the distance, which I am using to write this. Someone please come! I am stuck in this emptiness, and no one knows where I am. If I discovered this place, I'll call it The Emptiness of the Dark. I'll just go towards the light. Hey, I'm flying! It's getting bigger. I see—I see colors. Intersecting colors are the background, and I see portals. I'll just go in this one… Oops! I went right in between two of them. Where am I? I'm in a new place. There's a spotlight over a machine. I'm gonna see how this works… Wow! I see pictures of home, school, Ryan and Cristy and another guy… Ooh! I'll just press the "Portal" button and… As I suspected, a portal appears! I'm going in. Wait! Will I ever get to this place again? I'll go back--back to the portals. Here they are. Same portals. I'll just go through this one that looks like home…
I landed with a thud on the ground and I saw the portal that brought me home vanish. I see the everyday people. Everything is normal again. And then I woke up.
I open my eyes and a shadowy figure is hovering over me. I screamed and the figure whispered, "I knew it. There is an inter-dimensional bypass. I'll be back for you." The voice was the one of a girl; it was unfamiliar. I then called for Dad. No answer. I called for Blake. No answer. I called for Drake. No answer. I called for Ryan. No answer. I looked at the clock.
4:06 AM.
I tried to fall asleep, but I couldn't with the outline of the figure scorning me, frightening me, and even haunting me in the darkest hour of my life. I'll never forget the moment I saw the portals and the dream seer levitating silently. When will she be back? I'm not going to tell anyone about this. I need to remember this for life. Shall I forget, I will record this moment here. In fact, I already have.
