Far beyond the whisp'ring pines
Past the break of day,
Beneath the light of distant stars,
Come hither if you may.
The waves yet crash,
The gull yet calls,
The moon yet lights the bay.
Ever waiting,

While shores erode,
Tides still pull,
I cannot always stay.
Close beside the breaking sea,
Past the grassy plain,
Tread upon the sandy shore,
Walk with me again.
The stars yet guide,
The sea yet calls,
The wind yet swirls and sways.
Ever leaving,
Leaving (LEAVING),
While billows roll,
Ebb and flow,
I tarry in the bay.
Come and say your last goodbye,
Beg I wait a day,
Although I am already gone,
Until you come I'll stay.
