It was cold, although it was always cold in Finland; the snow fell to the ground in large puffs and landed. There was a fair amount snow on the ground, it was December. Finland sighed the weather had been this way for days and he felt he would go insane from staying in the house by himself, it was nice he would give it that but Sweden seemed to be hiding something and it was keeping him out of the house.

Smiling to him self Finland looked out of his kitchen window, the snow had caused his window to fog up form the food he had been cooking in the kitchen, the stew was cooling on the stove, which was turned off, and a loaf of bread sat on the table cooling as well. Finland had felt compelled to bake bread during the day. As Finland turned off the oven the front door opened and Sweden entered, his head dusted with snow.

Sweden had his usual took on his face but Finland saw a smile hidden on his face. The tall Swede came strode into to kitchen and over to the smaller nation, bending down, kissing him softly on the cheek and pulling him into his strong embrace. The Finns face turned red at the contact, but he relaxed into his partners arms.

"Hi, Su-san" he said as he pulled himself back into reality

"'Llo f'nn" the taller man said softly into the younger mans neck. As he pulled away he turned to look at Finland's face.

"g't s'pr'z f'r y'" he said grabbing Finland by the hand and pulling him into the living room.

"Where are we going Su-san?" Finland asked curiously as the taller man pulled him into the door way and started to bundle him in snow cloths. The taller man made no notion of telling the smaller man of his plans. When his "wife" was dressed properly he pulled Finland outside. The cold air took Finland's breath away and caused him to shiver uncontrollably.

"'s s'pr'ze" he said taking Finland's cold hand into his warm one. Sweden noticed Finlands' uncontrollable shiver and he handed the smaller nation his overcoat. Finland tried to make Sweden take it back but the effort was pointless, and he wound up wearing the coat anyway.

Sweden lead Finland through the snow, and down to the unbeaten path, into the untouched snowdrifts, although there were indents of a single set of foot prints where someone had walked not to long ago. Finland wondered where he was being taken, and the thought of he and Sweden being alone made him blush (although you couldn't tell because the cold weather had made his cheeks pink already).

The pair traveled a short distance until Sweden stopped suddenly, causing Finland to crash into the taller nation. The blush on Finlands face grew from the close contact between the pair. Sweden had caught Finland before he even had the chance to loose his balance; he looked down at the smaller nation and smiled at him.

"Sorry Su-san" Finland said embarrassed.

"S r'gt" he murmured as he wrapped his arms around the small Finnish man and turning his around and so he would be facing where they had been headed towards and ice clearing.

Finland gasped at the sight; the trees were encased in a thick layer of ice, the moon light making it glow in the dark and shine like stars. Finland stepped forward slightly away from Sweden's grasp to go closer to the clearing. "When did you find this?" he asked Sweden in almost a whisper.

Sweden smiled at the smaller boys sheer aw at what he was seeing. "d'nt m'tt'r" he said coming behind Finland and standing next to him.

The two remained in the clearing for a while simply basking in the moonlight ice. Finland broke the silence as he turned to the taller Swede "Thank you su-san" he whispered and hugged him tightly around the waste.

Finland shivered, the cold affecting him once more, even in the embrace of Sweden. Sweden smiled, and lifted his 'wife' into his arms and carried him back to the warmth of the house, only to find that the dinner Finland had made for them both cold.
