"White Day"
She had only made the Valentine's chocolate because her father had gotten some to make for his coworkers (and maybe some of his favorite customers) and had whined about her need to make some for him. She made the chocolates for the club members after he had gone to work, because otherwise they wouldn't have gotten any.
And she didn't want to deal with what some of the members would say about the lack of recognition for them.
The chocolates weren't even that tasty, but the consensus was that they were passable.
So when White Day came around she was quite surprised when Mori-senpai unceremoniously handed her a small box. "The return gift for the chocolates," he explained to her due to the confused expression on her face.
"Ah," Haruhi commented and untied the ribbon keeping the box closed. Before she even opened it all the way she could smell the distinctive scent of strawberries. She smiled up at her tall senior and lifted out one of the fruits. "Thank you, senpai."
He nodded and walked away, a faint smile of his own gracing his lips.
