Mizuki Kotori was stunned, not for the first time in her life.
When, out of all people, Alit (her boyfriend) had shown up to help them against their Barian-controlled classmates, the least expected (at least for her) thing happened. Alit was one of them... a Barian. Had he been playing with her emotions from the day he first appeared? Was it all just to get closer to Yuma's Numbers?
She watched in silence as Alit challenged Yuma to a duel, a duel the Kattobingu duelist couldn't lose, for it would mean losing Astral, his Numbers and more than likely his life.
But him winning would mean her losing the love of her life.
Stuck between a rock and a hard place, Kotori's breathing stopped with the duel's ending.
"ALIT!"
