"No, like this!" May cried, attempting to get her Skitty to do it as she imagined in her head.
`May was busy getting in last minute training for the last contest before the Grand Festival this year. So busy in fact, she did not notice a certain green haired boy watching her routine. He hated to admit that he was a little impressed. Instead of telling her so though, he chose to say something quite the opposite.
"You' still can't get your Pokemon to listen to you?"
May, not expecting this, dropped all of the Pokeblock that was in her hand and turned quickly, letting out a cry. Her cheeks were already a furious red, and once she saw who it was, she crossed her arms in a huff. She thought that she was nearly isolated this deep in the woods. She regained her composure with a glare that could scare most houseflies.
"Oh,did I scare you?" Drew asked, flashing his signature smirk.
"No, I was just startled. And I can too get my Pokemon to listen to me!"
As if to disprove her, Munchlax came out of his Pokeball and proceeded to eat all of the Pokeblock May had dropped. Drew's smirk grew while May started yelling at Munchlax to stop. May soon gave up trying to drag Munchlax away from his precious snack, and turned to face Drew.
"If you want to win, you have to learn how to surprise and wow the judges." Drew said.
"I already know how to do that!"
"No, I'm pretty sure you don't. You're very predictable."
"I am not predictable, so shut up!"
"Prove it!"
May searched for something to counter this until she saw his smirk. She marched across the short space and firmly planted her lips on to his for a quick second. It was awkward as far as kisses go, their noses in the wrong place, but it got the job done. When May pulled away, Drew's smirk was gone and replace by a look of utter confusion. May was now wearing the smirk and walked away after offering a quick wave. Drew regained his composure and hurried to regain his footing.
"Hey, May!" He called out. She looked over her shoulder, still smirking from whas she thought was a win on her part.
"There's no way you're going to win if that's what you call a surprise. What am I, your grandma?" As he was saying this May's smirk dimmed and dimmed until it was gone. "Let's be glad this isn't a kissing contest." He called out walking away, tossing a rose in her direction.
"Drew!"
