Hello everyone. Welcome to my first Bleach Fanfiction. Don't hurt me if I get anything wrong.
The pairing is HitsuHina, my favorite Bleach pairing ever. I've been reading too much on these two, and doujinshi's don't help. So, something short for you all to enjoy. Possibly shorter than Hitsugaya, even…

Pillar
It was late at night, or possibly it was early in the morning. Either way, darkness shrouded most things at this hour, whatever hour that was.
Toshiro Hitsugaya knew it was quite late, but he hadn't yet finished all of that tiresome paperwork. His mind was far too preoccupied with other things.
Perhaps not things, but his mind wasn't focused on work, but a certain dark-haired vice-captain.
It seemed she was constantly on his mind these days, especially since Aizen was killed and she finally awoke from her long coma.
He usually pushed any thoughts of his old childhood friend to the back of his mind, and would concentrate on the task at hand, whatever that might be. It was his duty as a Captain after all.
However, when he was alone in the peaceful darkness of his office like this, his mind tended to wander. The thoughts that filled his head now were all about her.
Even though she pointed her sword at him, believed Aizen over him, he had known all along he would forgive her.
With a sigh, he shifted a bit in his chair. He couldn't focus if she was constantly on his mind like this.
He closed his eyes wearily, feeling exhaustion try to overtake him. He wrenched his eyes open, forcing himself to stay awake.
His mind once again returned to her.
She had become increasingly fragile as the days passed, shuffling through the halls, jumping whenever anyone tried to speak to her, and getting very little sleep.
He still couldn't be sure if she trusted him entirely.
The young Captain leaned forward a bit, placing his elbows on his desk.
She needed someone.
She needed someone who wouldn't fail her, betray her, care for her.
She needed someone who wouldn't fall, who would stand strong for her, be there always and never crumble away.
He could be there for her. He has, and always will. He his her pillar, her support when she fell and needed something to grab onto.
He would never wear down, he would never leave her. Without support, she would shatter into a thousand pieces and no one would be able to repair her. He needed her as much as she needed him. Somehow, he knew, he had always loved her.
He wouldn't let her break. Never.
…Not even a crack.
