The day that Cato will understand what goes on in Clove's mind will be the day that he dies.

She tells him that when she was younger, her parents took her to a neurologist to have her sadistic tendencies checked out. They told her she was problematic; her parents heard "potential."

Cato has seen brains before on screen; they have grooves in them, and they're purple sometimes. He imagines that if he were to fall into hers he would probably never find his way back out. The walls would grow beside him and he would wander, never passing the same place twice, but never getting closer to the exit. And maybe she's lost in there, too.
