A/N: Hi people! I am alive! :D

So this story was on hiatus... and then I re-read it... Well, I only got up to the second paragraph before I decided I desperately needed to RE-WRITE it.

Well, I didn't re-write re-write it, only half kind of re-write it... Hopefully that made sense... It probably didn't.

Anyway, enough of me rambling.

Here's the first chapter! :D

DISCLAIMER: I DO NOT OWN POKEMON.

"What?!" a blunette asked in disbelief.

A teenage boy with green hair grinned. "C'mon Dawn. Don't tell me you're not excited."

"I, I... Fine, I am excited!" Dawn grinned.

The boy ruffled her hair. "You better get packing then. Pack all the stuff you'll need for the next week, actually. The rest of the stuff can be stuffed into boxes."

Dawn pouted, fixing her hair. "Hey! I spent ages doing my hair, Drew. It's not easy getting it this perfect."

Drew gave a playful roll of the eyes.

"Now get out." She pushed Drew out of her room and she let out a happy sigh.

Rays of sunlight shone down, onto the town of Twinleaf. A young girl with midnight blue tresses was playing outside in the backyard. Inside, a lady with similar features was standing in the kitchen.

"Dawn, time for lunch!" the lady shouted.

The young girl stopped what she was doing. "Coming!" she yelled back. She ran into the house quickly as her stomach grumbled.

"Mama," she began, as she reached the kitchen, "where are you?"

She glanced in all directions, searching all around the house, but she had no luck. Her heart dropped. "Mama?"

Dawn shook, tears flowing down her cheeks, as she wrapped herself with a blanket. The tears kept falling from her eyes.

"Mama," she cried.

Her sniffling and sobbing never died down, not until she was asleep.

Dawn froze, not expecting to suddenly relive the scene she experienced eight years ago. She dropped to the floor, trying not to cry. She hoped it was all a dream. But reality, of course, decided to cut in and ruin everything.

She shook her head, trying to push the memory to the back of her head. "Now, what should I pack?" she asked herself.

Her gaze landed on something, and she squealed. "I have to pack this!" She grabbed a pink shirt. "And this!" Dawn continued throwing random pieces of clothing into her mini luggage.

Soon enough, her love for clothes had distracted her from the horrid memory.

"What's this?" the seven-year-old Dawn inquired.

She picked up a shiny chain from the bed-side table. The wiped her tears away with her other hand, curiosity taking over her.

"Pretty," she said in amazement. In her hand was a heart-shaped locket. She quickly put it around her neck, having a little trouble.

She climbed back into bed, until she heard a creak. Dawn was both curious and scared. She crept to the door quickly, peeking through the gap.

She hesitated. "Mama?"

The house was silent, and Dawn was beginning to wonder if she was just hearing things. She frowned, gave a little shrug and turned around to head for beg.

An high-pitched scream came form the young girl. "Who are you?" she whimpered.

The man in front of her smirked. He spoke with a sickening voice. "Why hello there, you must be Dawn."

Dawn stayed quiet, too scared to do anything. Tears started forming in her eyes, leading to a sob.

"I was sent here by your father, you know," the man explained. Dawn's eyes widened at this new found piece of information.

The man pulled out a knife from his pocket. He sighed dramatically. "You can't defend yourself, that's pathetic. You know, it's sad to see such an innocent girl suffer. But then again, a mission's mission."

He took a step forward, towards Dawn. Dawn was completely defenceless. She squeezed her eyes shut and just stood there, tears rolling down her cheeks.

Footsteps were no longer heard. Dawn slowly opened her eyes, one by one. She looked right in front of her, and noticed the man was now lying on the ground, a knife through his chest. She didn't dare move, she was frightened.

Soon enough, the pulse of the man faded away and his breathing stopped. Dawn stared at the body in shock, before running out the door and out of the house. She ran, as fast as she could. She tripped over, but she simply got back up and continued running.

Her heavy breathing cut out the silence, and she soon collapsed.

"No, no, NO!" Dawn screamed, clutching her head.

She ran to her bed, grabbing a pillow and chucking it at the wall. "NO!" she yelled in refusal, she didn't want to remember these memories.

There was a knock at her door. Dawn took some deep breaths, trying to calm herself down. "Come in!"

"Are you okay? I heard something," Drew said.

Dawn gave a nervous laugh. "No need to worry! I'm alright!"

Drew sighed, muttering, "And that's when I worry most."

He left the room, leaving Dawn on her own again.

"Back to packing!" she said to herself, grabbing more clothes. After a while, she was jumping on her suitcase, trying to get it to close. After struggles, she finally managed to zip up the bag.

"Done," she said, breathing out a sigh of relief.

The blunette woke up in an unfamiliar room. She sat up and saw a lady with brown hair and green eyes. The lady smiled warmly at her.

"Where am I?" Dawn question, rubbing her eyes.

"I saw you had fainted on the street sweetie. I couldn't just leave you there, so here you are. Do you remember what happened?"

"Thank you," Dawn said, smiling. Although, her smile soon turned into a frown before she burst into tears.

The woman pulled Dawn into a hug, rubbing her back soothingly. "It's okay sweetie," she murmured comfortingly.

When Dawn stopped crying, the woman spoke up, "Would you like me to call your mother? Oh, my name's Sarah Hayden. You can just call me Sarah. What's your name?"

Dawn hesitated, but she trusted the woman. "My name is Dawn, and my mother... she..."

A sob was heard again, and Sarah understood what Dawn was trying to say. Sarah looked at Dawn in sympathy, doing everything she could to comfort her.

"What about your father?" Sarah asked.

Dawn didn't know what to say. "I... I don't know."

"What do you mean?"

"I don't know who he is," Dawn said.

Sarah nodded, giving Dawn a kind smile. "Do you have any other relatives?"

Dawn shook her head.

The week went by quickly, a little too quickly for Dawn's liking. She had to leave the friends she made.

"I'll miss you guys," Dawn said to herself, smiling as she entered the ferry.

"Dibs window seat!" she yelled, running ahead of her family.

Drew flicked his hair. "I'll take the one next to you then."

Sarah chuckled at their behaviour. "They've sure grown up."

William nodded. "They sure have."

"You're always welcome to stay with us, Dawn," Sarah suggested.

Dawn cheered up. "Really? Thank you, thank you, thank you!"

"Sure thing, I'll introduce you to my family."

Sarah called her family into the room. A tall man with green hair and green eyes walked in, along with a boy around Dawn's age with the same features as the man.

"This is my husband, William, and my son, Andrew," Sarah introduced, gesturing to them.

"Mum! It's Drew!" the eight-year-old boy whined.

Dawn giggled. "Nice to meet you, I'm Dawn."

The man smiled. "Nice to meet you Dawn."

However, the boy didn't seem interested. He turned to his mum and asked, "Can I go now?"

Sarah gave him a look, and unwillingly let him leave.

"Wow," Dawn said in amazement, looking at the exterior of her new house. "It looks amazing!"

"Well, what are you two waiting for? Go choose your rooms!" William chuckled.

Dawn sprinted in, quickly followed by Drew. They raced up the stairs. "Bags this room," Drew said, walking into his newly claimed room.

Dawn beamed. "That one's mine," she said, pointing to one at the end of the hallway. She grabbed her luggage and walked into the room. The bed was already there.

She plopped down onto the bed, sighing in relaxation. This was her chance to start a new life.

~The next day~

Dawn woke up; surprisingly, not to the sound of her alarm. She sat up, rubbing her eyes. She glanced around her room, trying to figure out where she was before she remembered she had moved houses. Getting out of bed, she got changed and got ready for her first day of school.

Dawn glanced at the clock; it was still early. The house was silent, almost inaudible sounds of calm breathing, so she headed for the kitchen. She pulled out pancake batter and got to work. Ten minutes ticked by quickly, leaving Dawn to stare at the final result happily.

"Hey, Dawn," Drew greeted, standing by the entrance of the kitchen.

She twirled around, to face him. "Hey, Drew."

"What are you doing up so early?" he asked, gesturing at the clock.

Dawn looked at the time, it was 6:19am. She usually got up earlier than that, for training. "Nothing, I just thought I'd make breakfast," she replied.

She hurried up the stairs, back to her bedroom to grab her school-bag. When she returned to the kitchen, she noticed Sarah and William were already in the kitchen.

"Dawn. Did you make this?" Sarah asked, delighted. Dawn gave a small nod and a smile. "Thank you do much, sweetheart. What time did you get up this morning?"

"Five o'clock," Dawn simply replied.

"You did have to do that for us."

Dawn smiled. "I wanted to. It was just a small thank you for taking care of me."

"Let's eat," Drew said, causing Dawn to giggle.

They ate their meal and talked a little about the school they were going to attend.

"Time to go," William announced.

Dawn and Drew grabbed their bags, and followed their father - legal father, for Dawn - into the car. He dropped them off and they said their goodbyes. Drew walked into the front office, Dawn behind him.

"Hi, I'm Andrew Hayden and this is my sister, Dawn Berlitz," he said clearly.

"Ah, yes. Here are your timetables," the front office lady replied kindly, handing them their timetables.

A quick display of thanks was exchanged, before the two students went to go look for their lockers. But soon, a girl had claimed she had fallen in love with Drew, and he was surrounded by a mob of girls.

"You're hot," was on of the comments directed to Drew, along with, "I think it's love at first sight."

Dawn rolled her eyes playfully and giggled. This always happened, and Dawn was used to it. Drew, on the other hand, could never get used to it. He looked at Dawn with pleading eyes.

"Oh my goodness! Is that Wallace signing autographs in the hall?" Dawn yelled out.

"I love Wallace!" The crowd started to disperse, most of them running towards the hall.

Drew sighed in relief. "Thanks," he muttered to Dawn.

"No problem. Here's my locker," Dawn said, trying to figure out how to use the combination lock.

Drew nodded, and gave a flick of the hair. He walked off, finding his own locker. Dawn furrowed her eyebrows, still trying to open her locker. After several failed attempts, she let out a huff and grabbed a bobby-pin from her hair. She spent a few seconds, before the lock opened.

Dawn grinned, putting some books into her locker. "I've really got to learn how to use combination locks," she muttered to herself, before closing her locker and securing it.

"I'm so sorry!" she exclaimed, as she felt the impact of someone against her shoulder. She looked up to see a boy with spiky auburn hair and dark viridian eyes.

There was a smirk on his face, and a hint of amusement too. "It was my fault. I'm Gary. We should go out, how about this afternoon?"

Dawn raised a brow. "Do you usually ask random strangers out? Especially like that?" she asked. It was more of a statement than a question.

Gary frowned a little, before putting on the same smirk. "A feisty one, eh? I'll see you around." And with that, he walked off, Dawn rolled her eyes.

"Don't mind him. He's a real player. I swear he's gone out with at least half the girls at this school. He's never gone on a date more than three times with the same girl."

Dawn looked up, taking in the appearance of a girl with long brown hair and forest green eyes. Dawn smiled. "Thanks. I'm Dawn, by the way."

"Leaf," the girl responded with a smile. "I'm guessing you're new here?"

"Yep." The two girls stood in awkward silence for a few moments.

Leaf spoke up, "What classes do you have?" Dawn pulled out her timetable and handed it to her. "Wow, impressive. All these advanced classes. You must be really smart."

"Thanks," Dawn said shyly, flushing at the compliment.

"I'm in the same homeroom as you. I'm also in your Maths, Drama and Chemistry classes."

"Cool!" Dawn said, happy to have a friend. "Do you mind showing me around?"

"Not at all," Leaf replied, giving her a smile.

The two girls were walking down the hall until a loud high-pitched squeal was heard.

"Oh my gosh! The new guy is soooo hot! His name is Drew."

Dawn rolled her eyes and continued walking. She saw a flash of green appear in the middle of a crowd and sighed.

"Woah. What's going on over there? I've never seen such a big crowd in the school," Leaf said. She walked up to a girl with red-hair. "Hey, Misty, what's going on here?"

The girl turned to face Leaf. "Apparently there's this new guy called Drew, and the girls are all over him." She then turned to Dawn. "Hey, I'm Misty."

"Dawn, nice to meet you," Dawn replied with a smile.

Leaf rolled her eyes. "He looks like a total playboy to me. he seems arrogant, overconfident, and stuck-up, just like Gary."

Dawn giggled, deciding to tease Leaf a bit. "I haven't known you for very long, but all you seem to talk about is Gary."

She blushed. "What are you talking about? It's not like I like him or anything."

"I never said you liked him," Dawn said in a sing-song voice. Leaf blushed even more.

Misty leaned closer to Dawn. "Leaf lurves Gary. She just won't admit it." Dawn grinned.

"Hey!" Leaf objected.

The ringing of the school bell cut off the conversation. Leaf and Misty lead Dawn to their homeroom. Dawn noticed that Drew was already there.

The teacher there was quite young, with taupe hair and red eyes. She turned to Dawn and Drew. "You must be the new students here. I'm Mrs. Roxanne. Why don't you two introduce yourself to the class?"

They both turned to the class. "Drew's the name," Drew said, smirking and flicking his hair. Most of the girls starting fawning over Drew.

"Drew, come sit next to me!" some girl called out.

Dawn rolled her eyes once more, before smiling at the class. "I'm Dawn, it's nice to meet you all."

"Man, she's pretty cute," a guy yelled out.

"She's not just cute, she's gorgeous!" another guy called out.

Dawn sighed. She liked attention, but not this kind of attention.

"Alright, where should you two sit?" Mrs. Roxanne asked, skimming the classroom. There were only two seats available.

"Drew, why don't you take a seat next to Gary? Gary, please raise your hand, "Mrs. Roxanne suggested. Gary smirked and raised his hand. Drew had a smirk that could challenge Gary's. He walked over tot he desk and sat down on the seat, ignoring all the comments from his fangirls.

Dawn felt relieved, not having to deal with Gary flirting with her. "Dawn, why don't you take a seat next to May. May, please raise your hand." A brunette, now known as May, raised her hand and smiled at Dawn. Dawn smiled back and walked over to her desk.

"Hey. Do you like it here so far?" May greeted.

"Yep! It's really nice here!" Dawn said cheerfully, causing both girls to burst into a fit of giggles.

"Have you been shown around the school yet?" May asked.

Dawn gave a nervous laugh. "Not really."

"Would you like me to give you a mini tour sometime then?" May offered.

"Thanks, I would really appreciate it." Dawn smiled, making another friend.

"Let me see your timetable." Dawn handed her timetable over. "You're in my English, Drama, Textiles and French classes. We have English first. I'll take you there."

"The name's Gary." Gary reached out his hand for Drew to shake.

Drew accepted it. "Drew."

"The new girl's pretty cute, don't you think?" Gary asked, though it was more of a statement than a question.

Drew looked disgusted. "She's way out of your league," he responded. Gary frowned.

"Like she's in your league," Gary sneered.

"She's my sister, you idiot," Drew simply said.

Gary didn't know what to say. "Who are you interested in then?"

"No one." Drew responded very bluntly.

"I honestly doubt that. C'mon, man, not a single person?"

"No."

Dawn followed May to their English classroom. Drew and Gary were also in the same class. The teacher told Dawn and Drew to introduce themselves, they did so and the reactions of their classmates were pretty much the same.

This time, however, Drew was asked to sit next to May and Dawn was to sit next to a guy with purple hair. She walked over, the guy glaring at her with his dark grey eyes.

"Hello there! You must be Paul. It's nice to meet you," Dawn said in a friendly manner.

All she got was a roll of the eyes in return. "Whatever," he grunted.

Dawn made no hints of continuing the conversation. She tried to pay attention to what the teacher was saying, but she couldn't help but think back to the day an assassin came after her. Before she knew it, she had completely zoned out.

Paul cut off Dawn's train of thought. "You should really pay attention. That's how you learn," he said, in his monotonously tone.

"I am paying attention. And why do you care?" Dawn hissed.

"Whatever," Paul responded, not showing a single sign of interest.

The sound of the bell brought Dawn back to reality, who realised the bell had gone. She had Chemistry class now. She asked the teacher for directions, and thanked her.

The same introduction process repeated, and Dawn noticed that Leaf and Misty were in her class. She smiled, but then noticed the only seat left was next to Paul.

"Great, it's you again." His voice was dripping with venom.

"You think I'm happy with these seating arrangements?" Dawn retorted. Paul rolled his eyes again, which annoyed Dawn. Dawn drifted back into thought, remembering the scene.

She shook her head. Nothing was making sense to her. There were so many questions running through her head. What stopped the assassin from killing me? Why was the knife planted in his chest? What happened?

The next two classes passed quite quickly for Dawn, but Paul seemed to be in all her advanced classes. Dawn went to the cafeteria, bumping into Leaf.

"Hey, Dawn, you should come sit with us," Leaf suggested.

Dawn smiled. "Thanks, that would be nice." She followed Leaf to a table with six other people. There was Drew, May, Misty, Paul, Gary and a boy with raven hair and brown eyes who Dawn didn't recognise.

"Dawn, this is May, Misty, Gary, Paul, Ash, and Drew," Leaf said, as an introduction.

"Nice to meet you all," Dawn said, beaming. She took a seat between Leaf and May, which was across from Gary.

"Haven't I seen you somewhere before?" Gary flirted. Leaf and Paul rolled their eyes.

Ash butt in, "I don't think so, Gary. After all, she is new so I don't think you've seen her somewhere before."

Dawn gave a nervous laugh, whereas the others gave Ash a look saying 'Are you serious?'.

Gary leaned towards Ash. "I'm trying to flirt, man. Don't ruin this for me," he hissed.

Ash gave a sheepish grin. "Right. You were trying to flirt. Right, sorry."

Gary slammed his head against the table, trying to hide his embarrassment. The others burst out laughing, excluding a smirking Paul.

"Did it hurt when you fell from heaven?" Gary gave it another shot.

Dawn raised an eyebrow in amusement. "Not nearly as much as it hurt when you were kicked out of hell."

"Do you ever get tired always running through my mind?"

"We only met today, but no, there wasn't much space to run through."

"BURN!" Ash yelled, which got him weird looks form around the cafeteria. Then again, when didn't he get weird looks?

"Go on, ask me out," Gary tried desperately.

"Okay, get out."

Gary furrowed his eyebrows. "I can tell you want me."

"You're right," Dawn began, everyone was staring, "I so want you, to go away."

Everyone seemed to find interest in the conversation between Dawn and Gary. If the bell hadn't gone, this would have continued. The school day ended quite quickly, in Dawn's opinion.

Dawn and Drew walked home together, of course. A lot of girls were glaring at Dawn, which made her quite uncomfortable.

"Hey, Drew, how was your day?" Dawn said, trying to make the situation less awkward.

"Same as always. Annoying fangirls fangirling over me," he said casually. "It gets really annoying. Don't get me wrong, I like the attention. But I don't have privacy this way." He sighed, but still kept his cool and collected demeanour.

"No need to worry! They'll get over it!" Dawn reassured him, but then grinned evilly. "Unless they start to grow more and more attached to you, and soon they'll stalk you all the time and find out every single thing there is to know about you and they will spread the news to everyone and-"

"Dawn!" Drew's complaint cut her off. Dawn laughed. "I'm just kidding."

They arrived at their house, and Drew headed up to his room. Dawn followed his example and went up to her room as well. Sarah and William weren't home from work yet, so both teenagers started on their homework.

An almost silent footstep was heard from Dawn's balcony. She let out a sigh, it couldn't be another one. The assassin was watching her every step, waiting for the right moment.

Dawn wondered, How in the world did they find me here?

She simply walked out into the hallway and knocked on Drew's bedroom door. There was no response, so she knocked again, starting to get worried. Frantic knocking was heard, until the door finally swung open.

"What?" Drew asked, annoyed by the noise.

Dawn sighed in relief. "Thank goodness, you're okay," she said, aloud.

Drew raised a brow, "Why wouldn't I be?"

"No reason," she replied, smiling innocently.

Drew narrowed his eyes. "Sure..."

"Hey, Drew, have you ever practised any forms of martial arts or self defence or anything like that?" Dawn asked out of the blue, trying to sound casual.

"No, why?" Drew eyed her suspiciously.

"Well, you should! You, er, never know if someone's after you," Dawn said.

Drew chuckled. "Why would there be someone after me?"

"Oh, no reason," she responded, palms starting to sweat a little. She shook her head. "The point is, you must learn how to defend yourself from all kinds of attack. You must never be caught off guard."

"Where's all this weird advice coming from?" Drew inquired.

"Huh? What? Just learn to defend your self." And with that, Dawn left.

When she reached her room, she noticed the assassin was still there. She sighed, walking to the balcony to face the assassin.

~The next morning~

Dawn woke up at the same time as the previous morning. She snuck out, and did her normal training routine.

"You two have to choose at least one extra-curriculum activity, alright?" Sarah told Dawn and Drew.

"Okay!" Dawn chirped; whereas, Drew simply gave a nod.

Heading to school, Dawn approached her friends.

"Why don't we all do cheerleading together? I think it suits you," May suggested to everyone, though it was mainly directed to Dawn.

Misty frowned. "No way, too girly. I'm taking up swimming."

Leaf nodded, in agreement to Misty's statement.

Dawn hesitated. "I kind of have something else in mind."

The other three girls turned to her. "What is it? Maybe I could do it with you," May said kindly.

"I," Dawn hesitated, "was thinking of doing some sort of martial arts or self defence stuff. Do they have anything like that here?"

The only reactions she got were gasps and wide eyes. "Um, what? Hello?" Dawn said, waving her hand in front of their faces.

"I would have never guessed," Misty muttered.

Dawn tilted her head to the side in confusion. "Hm?"

"I wouldn't recommend you do that," May said.

"Why not?" Dawn asked.

Leaf spoke, "The guys here are kind of tough, I guess. They aren't exactly... friendly when fighting."

Dawn smiled. "I really appreciate you telling me this, but I still think I should go for it."

"Well, if you've made up your mind, there's nothing we can do about it. Just be careful," Misty said.

"Thanks! After all, there's no need to worry!"

Dawn's gaze landed on the door. "Room 107," she muttered.

She opened the door, noticing only male students in the room. "I guess the girls were right," she said to herself, sighing.

Drew, Paul, Gary and Ash happened to be there. Dawn panicked slightly at the sight of Drew, thinking he would tell their parents. Ash was the first one to spot Dawn, and he waved enthusiastically.

"Dawn, are you taking this class too?" he asked.

Dawn bit her tongue, before answering, "Yep."

Drew gave her a look, questioning why she was here.

She walked up to him. "We need to talk." And with that, she pulled him away so they could talk privately.

"Drew, listen. Please don't tell mum or dad that I'm taking this class, okay?" Dawn pleaded.

"Why though?"

"Because they'd be really worried and I really don't need them to."

He looked at her, as if he was mentally debating whether or not he would tell. He probably was.

he finally opened his mouth to speak, "Fine."

Dawn pulled him into a bear hug. "Thank you, thank you, thank you!"

"No problem, but why are you taking this lass?"

"Well, I need to learn to defend myself," Dawn responded, smiling.

Drew eyed her suspiciously. He spoke, "Fine. Just be careful. From what I've heard, these guys are really tough. Obviously not as tough as me, but still tough," Drew said, overconfidently.

Dawn giggled. "Thanks. No need to worry!"

"And that's when I worry the most," he murmured playfully.

Dawn punched him on the shoulder playfully, and they walked back to the group.

"What's going on between you two?" Gary asked, suspecting something. "Are you two together or something?"

"Man, that's just wrong. She's my sister, idiot," Drew said, glaring.

"Everyone, let's have a small competition between each other to test our skills," the coach announced. Glancing at Dawn in surprise, he walked over.

"What's your name?" he asked.

"I'm Dawn," she responded.

"Well, Dawn, what are you doing here?"

Dawn glanced around the room, not knowing how to respond. "I wanted to learn some self defence...?" A few guys snickered and Dawn glared at them.

"Are you sure about that? The guys are really tough. I don't think you're as advanced as them yet. After all, you are a girl," he said.

Dawn sighed. So this is how it is. They don't think I should join just because I'm a girl?

"Thanks, but I'd still like to try."

"I suppose it won't hurt," the coach said, before walking away. "Who wants to compete first?" he yelled at the class.

A couple of guys took a step forward and a few of them competed. Dawn observed closely, strategy was the most important thing at the moment. She watched some guys named Brendan and Kenny fight, and she noticed how they formulated their strategies.

The next match was between Ash and Drew. Dawn was really interested since she had never witnessed Drew fight before. The match started and Ash started to aim punches and kicks towards Drew. Drew blocked and dodged with ease. He then aimed a kick which barely missed Ash.

"Wow, you're good," Ash commented, while fighting.

Drew swung a fist straight at his head. "Thanks bro."

Soon, Ash was tired and panting. Drew, on the other hand, was doing pretty well.

Next up was Paul and Gary. Paul won in less than a minute; it was a fairly quick match. It wasn't that Gary was weak or anything, Paul was just really strong. It even looked like he was holding back. Dawn noticed, and there was no doubt that she was really curious.

Paul could have the skills of an assassin, Dawn thought to herself.

After a couple more matches, Dawn was the only one who hadn't versed anyone yet.

"Dawn, are you sure you want to do this?" the coach asked again.

"Yes, I'm sure," she replied.

"Who do you want to verse?" he questioned.

"I don't mind."

"Right then." He turned to Kenny. "Yo, Kenny, why don't you have a match with Dawn?"

Kenny grinned. "Sure." He made eye contact with Dawn. "Don't worry. I'll go easy on your."

"No, please don't go easy on me! I want an actual match. Promise you won't?" Dawn pleaded.

"Fine, but don't blame me if I hurt you." He grinned, making Dawn roll her eyes.

They walked to the mats and a few comments were made.

"That girl is going to battle Kenny."

"She's really cute. Why isn't she doing cheerleading?"

Dawn glared, really fed up with these comments.

"What is wrong with you people? What's wrong with me taking these classes? Is it because I'm a girl? Just because I'm a girl, it doesn't make you people better than me! Just because you're guys, it doesn't automatically make you tough!" Dawn yelled.

The entire room was silent, stunned at Dawn's mini rant. Drew gave her a look of concern. Dawn smiled and mouthed, "No need to worry."

Drew sighed, but then nodded.

Kenny started by throwing a few punches, which Dawn dodged easily. She got a bit bored without offence, so she aimed a kick towards him. Kenny was shocked, he was caught off guard which gave Dawn an advantage. She used this opportunity to win the match.

Dawn, of course, formulated a silly strategy for this class to avoid suspicion. After class, Drew dragged her to the corner of the classroom to talk in private.

"Why didn't you tell me you could... you know? How?" Drew asked seriously.

"Same goes for you," was Dawn's reply. She fidgeted with her fingers subconsciously.

"Dawn," he said sternly, "I'm serious."

Dawn hesitated, wondering whether or not she should let Drew in on her secret. Drew knew about the first assassin attack, that part was explained to him. But he didn't know about any of the others, no one did.

"Well..."

A/N: Okay, i have to admit this is REALLY rushed... Hehe... ^-^"
