It was a rainy Saturday morning when Spencer was woken up by a phone call. It had a Wisconsin area code. "Hello." He said into the speaker.
"Hi! My name is Holly and I was…." Spencer dropped the phone and ran upstairs to Carly's bedroom where Sam was sleeping over.
"Guys!" Spencer said out of breath. "I just got a call from Holly!"
"Really!" Carly exclaimed. She quickly jumped out of bed.
"Who's Holly?" Sam groaned as she rubbed her eyes and stumbled out of her sleeping bag on the floor.
"Spencer, go talk to her and Sam I'll explain as we get dressed." Carly stated. Spencer darted out the door to resume talking to Holly. "Ok, so Sam when I was about four my mom had another baby. During the pregnancy the doctors found out she was sick. Shortly after, Holly was born and my mom passed away. Since my dad had to go back overseas Holly was put up for adoption. Spencer begged to let her stay with us but my dad refused." Carly explained as she threw on her dark green blazer. She and Sam made their way down the stairs and Sam made a run for the fridge to look for some ham. Just then there was a knock on the door. Spencer was still on the phone so Carly went to get it. It was birthday-boy Freddie Benson! "Happy birthday!" Carly and Sam exclaimed. Sam kissed her boyfriend and then went to go make him some waffles for his 16th birthday. As Carly filled Freddie in about Holly Spencer got off the phone.
"She wants to meet us! Her adoptive mom wants her to come live with us! She is ready to sign me over as her legal guardian!" Spencer yelled happily.
"This is awesome! But, how is she going to get here?" Carly asked.
"Well, we would have to go get her! Road trip?" He asked the gang.
"Of course!" The trio yelled in unison. They all gave Carly and Spencer hugs and went upstairs to pack their bags.
