Zutara: A Poem
Love
Long live Zutara and the Power of Love.
Love has the ability to overcome everything.
Even enemies can fall in love.
They first met when he
Attacked her home.
He threatened her Gran-Gran
And humiliated her brother,
But that didn't stop her from caring.
She was the first to know his name,
The first to publicly deny him his desire.
After the North Pole he kidnapped her best friend,
And knocked her unconscious.
She still cared.
His sister tried to kill her
And her family.
He sided with her.
He had begun to care!
In Ba Sing Se
He gave up
Trying to capture the Avatar
His sister ran a coup
And captured the city
She had already been thrown
Into the Crystal Catacombs
When his sister had him join her.
She got mad at him
Told him he was a terrible person
Said, "The Fire Nation took my mother"
He said, "I'm sorry, that's something we have in common"
She looked at him in shock,
Touched his scar,
Offered to heal the scar that had marked his life.
But before she had a chance,
Her friend and his Uncle arrived.
She left him with his Uncle,
And a backward glance.
His sister showed up
And gave him a choice,
Join her and come home
OR
Remain a traitor,
He chose the first
His sister led him
After the Avatar
And his true love
She told him she thought he had changed
He replied that he had changed.
The Avatar loved her too and,
To achieve victory, let her go
His sister hit the Avatar
With lightening
Almost killing him.
She brought him back
She never told anyone
What had transpired in
The Crystal Catacombs.
The Avatar's chakra had been
Locked when hit with Lightening
His greatest weapon,
The Avatar State,
Gone.
They still attacked the Fire Nation
And lost.
The army was captured
But the army sent the Avatar
And his friends away.
During the invasion
He faced his evil father,
And declared he would join the Avatar.
His father told him about
His mother.
She had saved his life
And was banished.
Then his father attacked him
He redirected the lightening and ran
To free his Uncle.
His Uncle had already escaped.
He met up with the Avatar at
The Western Air Temple
They refused to let him teach
Firebending.
He tried to save their lives
And nearly lost his own in the process.
The Avatar and the Earthbender
Accepted him easily.
She and her brother did so,
Grudgingly.
Later she threatened him,
If he hurt the Avatar,
She would kill him.
She's mad,
He's sad,
Neither can forgive
Or apologize.
But bother are in love and love will always
Triumph.
