Hey Guys! So this is my second short story, of course, with my favorite ship Victoire and Teddy! This is in Teddy's point of view. Hope you like it!

The Good but Horrible News
"Guess what Victoire?" I said to my nine year old best friend.
"What?" she asked turning her body towards me, on the stump that we were sharing. Her long silvery blonde hair flew in the warm summer wind, and her ocean blue eyes filled up with curiosity.
"I- I got my Hogwarts letter today." I stammered.
She bit her lip, and smiled as wide as she could, but her eyes looked sad, and were watery with tears. "I knew this day would come." she murmured.
"What day" I inquired curiously.
She sighed, and glanced down at the mossy ground below her, clacking her shoes together. Peering up, she took in her surroundings, the bright blue, cloudless sky, the giant, green, leafy trees, the trickling stream beside us, The Burrow. We sat in The Burrow forest, the one that the Weasley heritage belonged to. Both of us were staying at the Burrow for the summer, or the week left of summer anyway.
She resembled, a sad, abused, puppy dog. Her lower lip trembled slightly, and tears strolled down her cheeks like a waterfall.
"The day that I would lose you." she finally said.
I put my arm around her, and she rested her heavy head on my shoulder. Tears poured silently down her beautiful face, and dripped down onto the mossy green ground.
"What are we going to do?" I asked, "There's always letters, but is that enough?"
"No." Victoire said, "Teddy, you're my best friend. I've known you since the day I was born. I've never spent more then a day away from you. But a whole year? I don't think I can bear that."
I knew being away from my best friend for a year was going to be difficult. But two years? That was almost impossible. She was, after all, two years younger then me, and when I had finished my seventh year, she would only be going into her sixth.
"What about mirror passages?" I asked Victoire curiously,
"What are those?" she inquired.
I smiled, knowing I had finally come to a resolution.
"Well." I said, "We each get a mirror, and then cast an enchantment on them. Then both of us can step through our own mirror into the place connected by both mirrors. We would both step through, and would be by example, in a forest. Then, we could talk, and things, then step through our mirrors when we were done, and be back where we originally were."
She looked confused.
"Basically, if we each had a mirror, and stepped through it, we both both be in the same place at once."
"Oh!" she smiled, "But the enchantment has to be difficult, doesn't it? How will we do it?"
I bent down, and lightly kissed her on the head, resting my chin on the silvery blonde surface.
"We'll figure it out." I said, " I promise."
Well, thanks for reading! I might write some more of Victoire and Teddy in the future, tell me if you think so! Don't forget to review. And if you liked this cute short story, make sure to read my first fanfiction, "The First Kiss."
Thanks,
