Blind Love

All I remember is the shatter of glass, the cold, piercing rain, and the hands around my waist and mouth.

"Time to go, Kitty," The voice cooed- Sharp and hard. "Time to go."

Then I felt it, the sharp pain from the knife digging into my leg and my vision fading away…

CHAPTER ONE

KAT'S POV

I pressed myself up the wall. The terror shot through me like a bullet. I was dead.

Dead.

The words echoed around in my head, I wasn't going to last much longer.

How long had I been in this darkness?

One maybe two months?

Tears fell down my face, my hair was tangled. I could feel how messy and ratty it was. But that didn't matter.

The last few breaths I took mattered.

I took a deep breath as I heard the heavy pounding footsteps pound down the stone wall.

No no no! I screamed inside my head. NONONONONONONO!

The footsteps got closer and closer- faster.

I'm dead! I screamed DEAD!

The cell door opened and the something went into my arm- something sharp.

A gasp of pain escaped my usually closed mouth and I fell to the floor. Probably about to die…

HALE'S POV

I ran after the man down the dark tunnel. Kat was here somewhere, I could feel it!

The man stopped at a cell and I saw him raise a small straw-like object to his mouth and blow. Kat's gasp of pain was the only thing I heard as I tackled the man.

"Get her!" I screamed at Gabrielle, "GET HER!"

The strange man pushed me off of him and sprinted down the tunnel. I jumped up and was about to sprint after him, strangle him for taking my Kat away from me for two months.

"Hale," Gabrielle's voice pulled me over and I found myself right next to Kat's limp body.

"Is she?" I couldn't bring myself to say it.

"Look at her, Hale, does she look like Kat?" I could her something in the girl's voice but I ignored it as I studied Kat.

Her hair was a bright, fiery orange, but in a tangled mess; her eyes were translucent; she seemed taller, more muscle; lastly, she looked dead.

"It's Kat," I said, I knew it was her. It had to be.

"I hope you're right," Gabrielle told me as her family made it to the cell…

KAT'S POV

"Kat?" Hale asked, his voice made my heart lift, "Kitty Kat?"

"Gagh!" I said, rubbing my head. My body didn't feel different. It was in uncanny pain like usual, my head was banging, and it was dark.

"Can you see me, Kat?" My father asked me, his voice had a trance of worry.

"Dad?" I asked, sitting up and rubbing my head, "Why is it so dark?"

No one answered me. Panic shot through me, something I should be used to- but wasn't.

"Turn on the lights." I said, "Turn them on now."

Someone was hugging me.

"Turn them on!" I was at a state panic, "Turn them on! It's too dark! Turn them on!"

"Kat you're-"

"Don't say it!" I cried, "Don't. Don't." I shook my head, "I can't. I can't."

I pushed the hugger away gently and pulled my knees to my chest in a familiar position. My jeans rubbing against my skin.

I didn't want to face the truth-

I was blind.

AHHHH! How is she going to be a thief now? Well, that's very simple really... COMMENT to find out
