Namine sat in the silence, dutifully sketching out the image inspired by the black shadows in the corner of the otherwise white room: the tall, lean body; the rough calloused hands; the angular face.

She lightly drew the easy grin, the small, cute nose, and boyish high cheekbones.

Finally came the eyes – the blue, blue eyes. Though she was only drawing in pencil, she saw the color. The icy sapphire orbs could show emotions that shouldn't have been possible. Pain, fear, happiness, love…..

She paused, surprised. This wasn't what she had been seeing in her mind at all. So why was she sitting here drawing a boy that she barely knew?

Blushing, she picked up the eraser.

And put it back down again.

'No' she decided. 'I won't listen to my head this time. Nobody's here. I can be as impractical as I want!'

' Yes, instead….' She thought as she finished drawing the boy's blonde, side swept, gravity defying hair:

'I'll listen to my heart on this one.'
