A/N: WOWOWOW LOOK AT THAT. I've literally cringed so hard at my old work I decided to try and fix it up a bit before this shit resurfaced. The shugo chara fandom's pretty much dead so I doubt anyone will really notice but I HAD TO FIX THIS.
Note: Everyone's in high school in Sophmore year so they're all around sixteen/seventeen. Utau's in the same grade as the guardians and Ikuto's eighteen so he's a senior.
Enjoy
The waters getting colder, I bet you feel it now baby,
Especially since we've only known eachother for a day.
But i've got shit to work out baby let me in your ocean and swim
Utau didn't really understand why winter was so damn gross.
It was what? 34 degrees farenheit last she checked on her phone before leaving the house. that was 0 degrees celcius and the thought makes her miss the summer more.
Utau supposed that it wouldn't really be that bad if someone could actually drive her ass to the school because on her way out from Starbucks she had ran into some weird guy her age sprinting towards the school like his life depended on it. Which honestly, would have been understandable but he was like a whole entire hour early. Seriously, what the hell?
He appologised of course, so he wasn't a complete savage who was hopeless to the world but he had made her almost drop her coffee and if she had spilled her drink then-
Yikes
He was lucky, that's for sure.
Ugh. Disgusting
"Miss Hoshina?"
Utau's eyes snapped open she turned her head to face the teacher, what was his name- Nikaidou-sensei? Oh yeah He mind mentally seemed to reply My aunt Sanjo-san's boyfriend. The thought still weirded her out because honestly? It's really freaking strange having your teacher-your teacher of all people date your aunt.
"Yes Sensei?" She raised her head up to gaze levelly towards him
Damn. It was like her first week in this school and he already had her name memorised.
"Now that I've got your attention, mind answering the question on the board?" He raised an eyebrow in question, tone light and she almost rolls her eyes because she can hear small snorts and giggles around the classrooom
She's already up and out of her seat, walking towards the board. She actually was bored in a way.
Maybe it was just the weather. she's always hated the winter and the only good thing about it was being able to eat steaming bowls of ramen because that's without a doubt the best way to warm up in such shitty weather.
She had learnt all of this from years of private tutoring that had literally been useless because she could've spent that time eating or playing supermario cart with Ikuto. Then again, in the long run she supposes it's fun to be all smug as she's taking the offered pen from Nikaidou and wasting no time in writing the answer down. Writing the calculations down before scanning the board to make sure it was correct before she turned, facing her teacher with an eyebrow raised.
Nikaidou looks over her answer as well before smiling and nodding towards her in approval "Man Utau, I can never catch you off guard huh?"
The class laughs and she finds her lips twitching upwards in response as she makes her way back down towards her seat.
Okay, so maybe the fact that her aunt dating her homeroom (and math) teacher wasn't really all that bad. Still. It didn't change the fact that it was still hella bizzare.
When she's back in her seat Nikaidou's already moving onto the next question and asking some other poor soul to stand up and answer the question. she supposes it isn't the worst thing in the world, even if people weren't as fortunate as her to recieve private tutoring.
Hell, it was better than being outside in the cold. That was for sure.
After she's said her pleasantries and can finally leave the most constricting enviroment she'd ever had the pleasure of studing in Utau finds herself exiting the building mentally exhausted but even then she can't really find the strength to head home after such a (for lack of a better word) boring day.
She usually half expected her brother to come home to grab whatever leftover's she'd made to induldge in (he didn't always come home but she always left him something in the fridge).
She realised with a momentarily annoyed expression that her life was pretty fucking plain with her step-father busy at work and her mother staying in the hospital there wasn't really much to do. She didn't really feel like staying at home if she was going to be the only other human being there so instead she's pulling out her cell phone and starts texting her friends that she'd met recently from the school choir.
The mall seemed pretty tempting, even if she was still in her school uniform. Student discounts were a thing after all.
Utau began making her way towards the school gate and almost immediately she could fucking hear a stampede. A freaking stampede. She has no idea where the hell all this energy comes from as she turns her head to see the guardians step out of the school. She soon realised that the fan girl could be squealing about them. Or her. Or maybe even both, whatever it was it honestly didn't matter to her but damn son, people were wild.
"Oh my gosh! It's Hotori Tadase!" screeched some crazed fangirl and Utau stared at her concerned
Don't these people come to school everyday? Wouldn't that mean they see them every damn day?
"Look! It's the cool and spicy Hinamori Amu!" Shouted another- Seriously though. I'd be pretty freaking concerning if these people were going to act as if they were famous every damn day.
Utau's just stared at the entire crowd blocking the exit wondering if they expected her to sprout wings like a damn angel and fly over them. How many of them where there exactly- five? six? There was definately six max. Whatever the amount, It was sort of stupid in a way. What did they even do?
They were basically just a bunch of kids who wore capes to school but that was kinda lame. How did wearing capes make anyone possibly seem cool in this day and age?
Her classmates were pretty sweet. They let her know that they pretty much rang this shindig and always had their so called Meetings at the 'Royal Garden' but she literally only had one question
What the fuck even was a 'Royal Garden'
Man this school was weird
Whatever it was, it was somewhere behind the school. Not thay she would know since she hadn't even attempted exploring what the school looking like outside other than that ten minute school tour she had from some curly haired blonde girl in a cape- oh wait.
Utau blinked and actually turned to the guardians who were conversing with their fanclubs and her eyes scanned around once again. It was pretty weird. Just as she was about to make her way out (Probablybarge through all the freshmen, they were weak.) She's sort of weirded out because everyone's suddenly quiet
What
Were her eyebrows bad? They couldn't possibly be able to see them under her bangs-
"Uh...Sory, are you Hoshina Utau?"
Utau blinks, bewildered as she spins around to face- oh my god it was the same idiot who ran into her that morning
"Yeah?" she's raising an eyebrow towards the boy because his face sort of falters to one of realisation and she KNOWS he knows, that she knows he almost made her drop her expensive ass coffee
"You..uh..You dropped your student handbook" He says, grinning sheepishly towards her and she's still waiting for another apology to be quite honest but-
Wait
She dropped her what now?
This surprised Utau, when had she dropped it? Why wasn't she paying attention in the first place? Was she unintentionally dropping things all over the place on her way here?
Damn. She was really out of it today. Who the hell drops an entire student handbook and doesn't even realise?
It's still ridiculously quiet and Utau's wondering why everyone's suddenly so invested in listening to their boring-ass conversation
This was lame. "Thanks" She sighs, realising that she can't really hold a grudge against someone who went through all the effort of returning one of her posessions. "Sorry about that. I didn't even realise I dropped it"
"Huh? Oh yeah that Your welcome!" He said grinning in a horribly hyperactive tone that she really was not expecting- Yeah, okay that was a lot to take in. He was cute and all but nah, that attitude was like a beacon of-in-your-face.
His eyes travelled back to the rest of the guardians before glancing back towards her "Well, I'll see you around Hoshina!"
Hoshina? Where the hell did the 'san' go? She deserved honorifics for almost spilling her coffee this morning. Ugh, teenagers.
Still, her eyes gazed over his Seiyo's soccer uniform as he made his way back to his friends and she hummed
She did have a thing for jocks
A/N: Yikes. I can't believe ya'll read this and didn't stop me when you all have the chance LMAO
