The Elementalist Chronicles
It all started on the last day of my school, I was heading for the doors when my friend Carson and I ran into the school bully Josiah and he was looking for a fight. So I said, "We don't want to fight with you it was an accident." But he didn't believe me and threw a punch, I thought of dodging it but a great wall of wind blocked the blow for me! I was stunned, but suddenly I heard a voice in my head telling me when to dodge and when to block. I did as I was told and eventually a huge blast of air pushed Josiah out the second story window! After the fight my friend Carson asked me how and what the flippin' heck just happened, so I responded with, "I have no idea." My friend looked sick so I asked him what was wrong, he just ignored me though and said he needed to show me something. I followed him to the airport nearby and he led me into a closet. He muttered what seemed an incoherent incantation and a door slid open out of nowhere, it lead a great distance down, after a while we reached a ledge with wooden planks leading to two huge Egyptian statues. My friend told me to walk in between the statues, when I got near the statues a huge blast of air pushed me into a room. It took a moment for my eyes to adjust but I then saw a huge room full with people who had staffs and ivory boomerangs. Some were reading and some were shooting fire out of their staffs! I was confused until Carson told me that all the things in Egyptian myths are real. He proceeded to tell me to rest and that I had to take a test tomorrow, so I did as I was told. The next day when I woke up I was told to follow Carson. I followed my orders and found myself in a field of sand. I was given four wax statues, a staff, and a boomerang (apparently it's a kind of wand)."OK Ben draw a circle around you and put the shabti on the four sides. Then you and Christian will fight." Carson said while pointing to a boy that looked a few years older than me. All of a sudden Christian started to shoot fireballs at me, but suddenly the voice in my head quickly took action. It told me to point my staff at each fireball and say, "Heh-sieh!" and all of the fireballs returned to the caster. Then again I feel bad that Christian was hurt but good thing the house of life (The area where I was) are made up of good healers.
When the fight was over Carson congratulated me and lead me to a library filled with moving statues went around helping people find weird scrolls from cubbies that looked like honeycomb. Then Carson said "Come here, this is when you'll make your first scroll." He led me to a table with parchment and ink spread out. He told me to write a word on the parchment so I wrote air and then a huge blast of air shot out of the paper! I continued to experiment with it so I drew a 2-d bird with flames and the bird came to live and was on fire! I continued for a while then quit and followed Carson into a room with resources for making a staff when I was taught how it was done I was ready to start. So I got a rod of metal and started to carve the hieroglyphs for air, protect, and feather fall on the rod. Then just for fun I added a charm to it for more power.
