Mitchie Torres hates Shane Grey, that's what she tells herself anyway.

Mitchie Torres realizes it's been four years since she last saw him, four years since he broke her heart and yet here he is, sitting right in front of her, smiling, and asking her what wine she'd like with their meal.

Mitchie Torres looks around the restaurant, somewhere she knows she'd never be able to afford. Somewhere Shane Grey would. He's done it again, Shane Grey has made Mitchie Torres feel inferior. Nothing changes.

Mitchie Torres doesn't know what to say to Shane Grey. Small talk seems inappropriate, and she's too scared to say anything that means anything. Shane Grey keeps talking though, about anything and nothing: the weather, the food, the government.

Mitchie Torres finally starts to relax with Shane Grey. She starts to laugh at his jokes, smile at his flashing eyes, respond to his words. Mitchie Torres remembers why, once upon a time, she was in love with Shane Grey.

Mitchie Torres finishes her meal and thanks Shane Grey for such a nice meal. he smiles and says that she is welcome. Shane Grey leaves his wallet on the table, and tells her to settle the bill if the waiter comes, before excusing himself.

Mitchie Torres nervously opens Shane Grey's wallet as the waiter approaches the table. She looks at the bill, astounded by the cost. Feeling guilty, she pulls hundred dollar bills out of Shane Grey's wallet, one, two, three.

Mitchie Torres stares at Shane Grey as he sits back down. Her heart burns to ask him, but she doesn't know how, she doesn't know if she actually wants to know the answer.

Mitchie Torres looks Shane Grey in the eyes and asks him why there is a picture of her in his wallet.

Mitchie Torres maintains eye contact whilst Shane Grey tells her that there's a photo in his wallet of every single girl that he's loved.

Mitchie Torres looks down as she murmurs, there's only one photo. The one of her.

Mitchie Torres is surprised when Shane Grey strokes her face and simply adds the fact, she is the only girl that he's ever loved.
