"Basil, do you want to go on an Easter egg hunt with us?" Olivia asked.

"As a matter of fact, I do, dear," Basil replied.

"Well, what are we waiting for?! Let's go!" Fidget exclaimed.

"This is going to be fun!" Olivia said.

"This will be a good game for all of us to play," Dawson remarked.

Olivia bent down in front of Basil. "So why do you like Easter, Mr. Basil?"

"Because you get to search for clues and observe things," Basil replied, then he found an orange Easter egg with yellow zigzag lines lying in the grass. "Aha! Here's one!" And he picked it up.

"Well, we found one egg," Olivia said.

Toby sniffed an egg and barked, letting them know he found it.

Basil turned around and shouted, "Found one, Toby? Good boy! Now roll it down the hill!"

Toby rolled it down the hill with his nose.

Dawson and Flaversham found their eggs and grabbed them to examine them.

"I found a blue one!" Fidget shouted cheerfully flying into the sunlight like an angel.

Everyone stared at the bat in awe. This reminded them of what Easter was really about…on the spiritual side. It was about family and friendship. That was important.

The bat glided back down to the ground. It felt good for him to fly in the sun.

"You're lucky you didn't get burnt, son," Flaversham said. "Otherwise, you were okay."

"You were like an angel, Fidget," Olivia said.

"Thank you, Livy," said Fidget. Then he felt something touch his only foot. He looked down to see what it was.

Olivia giggled. "I think it wants you," she mused.

Fidget picked the rabbit and pet him.

Olivia found another bunny, which happened to be female and picked her up.

Suddenly, more rabbits hopped, but all the way into Basil's house.

"That's a lot of rabbits, eh, Basil?" Dr. Dawson asked.

"Oh, my! You're quite right, Dawson!" Basil said, "We'd better follow them to see what they are up to! We haven't got a moment to lose! Quickly, before they destroy our house!" And they ran after the rabbits.

The rabbits were hopping about in Basil's living room, causing mischief, but at the same time, they were curious.

"Oh, goodness!" Mrs. Judson shouted. "Rabbits everywhere!" But they meant no harm. They were just adventurous. When Basil and the others arrived, Mrs. Judson shouted accusingly, "Mr. Basil! Did you bring these rabbits in this house?"

"No, Mrs. Judson!" Basil said nervously, unable to take being shouted at, "They hopped in unexpectedly."

"Well, they are cute," Mrs. Judson said, changing her tune, "I just didn't want them making a mess."

The same rabbit who tapped on Fidget's foot stared at Fidget.

"Come here, buddy," Fidget said, patting both of his knees until the rabbit was within his reach. The rabbit nuzzled him and the bat carefully hugged him.

The girl rabbit rubbed her nose against Olivia's, making Olivia giggle.

It was an Easter miracle and each had their own rabbits to take care of.

The End

Happy Easter, GMD Fans!
