There's Snow Way

"No!" I shouted, staring at the taunting poster. "You can't make me!"

"Stubborn Bella," Edward teased, "It will be fun; I promise." He brushed his lips onto mine and caressed my cheeks. His intoxicating scent filled my head, making me forget my worries. Electricity jolted through my body, and my heart soared.

I momentarily forgot my distresses. Stupid, dazzling vampire. Suddenly, my gaze shifted toward the flyer. The three taunting words echoed in my head: Winter Ski Trip.

My thoughts reverted toward my original argument and I grimaced. "Edward, if I can't walk without falling, how do you expect me to ski?"

Edward chuckled lightheartedly, "Don't worry; I'll catch you." He smiled endearingly, and I, once again, was stunned by his perfection.

However, not even Edward could convince me into suffering from the dangerous, icy slopes of skiing; it would be my own personal hell. Trying to find another excuse, I stated, "But, you can't be out when the sun is out."

"Alice already checked the weather. It's going to be cloudy with a chance of rain, but no chance of sunlight." Edward countered, his voice sounded almost smug.

"But…" I started, but Edward interrupted by brushing his lips onto mine. I felt the room start spinning, and my heart started pounding.

His gaze locked into my eyes, and my heart pounded with excitement. "Bella, love, if you can't think of anymore excuses, I'm going to sign you up right now. Please understand that I don't want my presence to impede any of your human experiences."

Edward's topaz eyes pleaded that I would go skiing. I started to reassess the situation. Maybe, skiing wouldn't be that bad. I sighed; Edward was too persuasive for my own good.

I looked back at Edward, about to give into his demands. Edward let out a chuckled then whispered, "Plus, Emmett's been dying to see you ski."

The blood rushed to my cheeks, and I turned a crimson red. "No," I shouted, "There is no way!" There was no way I was going to live through the humiliation of having Emmett watch me ski. If Emmett's innuendos were bad, they were nothing compared to his clumsy Bella jokes. I turned to run away, but sturdy hands quickly thwarted my escape.

Edward pulled me back, and I struggled to free myself. Stupid, vampire strength. I wigged, trying to free myself, and force my way out of Edward's arms. Suddenly, I noticed a sharp pointed object a few inches from me. I swiftly grabbed the object and with all the force I could exert, I jammed the tip at Edward.

Edward suddenly stiffened, then let go of me. His expression showed both amusement and confusion. "Bella," he questioned, and I looked down too apprehensive to look into his eyes. "Did you just stab me with a pencil?"

I looked away shyly, the blood rushing toward my cheeks, again. ""I can't believe you just did that," Edward smiled my favorite crooked smile, making my heart melt.

"It didn't hurt at all?" I asked, disbelief evident in my voice.

"Silly Bella, I guess your just aren't as strong as you think."
