Bingo Slot (11) [Gene] Angst

The angst was thick in the air. You could feel it. You could taste it. You could see it. It was there and there was no way that it would leave ….

Veronica head lifted at the sound of a head landing on top of the wooden table. "Hey now don't mark up that beautiful face that I love so much."

Betty lifted her head up and stared across the room at where her girlfriend was sitting in the wing back chair. "I hate writers block." She whined.

Veronica gracefully stood to her feet and walked over to her girlfriend and sat in her lap. She looked at the lap top and read the first few sentences. "It's honesty not that bad B." She leaned back against her girlfriend and rested her head against Betty's warm neck.

Betty sighed. "Trust me Ronnie it's horrible." Her eyes closed as she felt Veronica's fingers in her hair. She was wearing it loose that day and felt heavenly having her beloved's fingers through the strands. "Especially when this writing assignment is due tomorrow." She groaned. "I absolutely hate these twelve hours free foam writing assignments."

Veronica tightened her hold around her girl's thin waist. She leaned forward and gently kissed the side of the blonde's neck. "You are a terrific writer Betty Cooper. You got this."

Betty turned her eyes to meet those of her beloved. "I don't really like writing free foam. I can't always allow my thoughts to go down the bunny hole." Slight fear entered her blue green eyes. "I don't want anyone thinking that I'm truly insane." She stiffened. "I mean even more bat shit crazy then they all ready know."

Veronica raised her head and pressed it against her soulmate's forehead. "How many times do I have to reassure you Betty that you aren't insane or bat shit crazy! When are you going to believe me."

Betty's eyes glided close as she tried to breath in the breaths that Veronica had been trying to teach her. Her arms tighten around her beloved's shoulder as she pressed herself more firmly against the love of her life. Her savior.

"Just breathe B. Just breathe." Veronica whispered as she pressed kisses on her girlfriend's face.

"Don't leave me." Betty whimpered as her eyes slowly opened. "Please don't leave me."

"I'll never leave you." Veronica vowed.
