It had been a half hour or two since Ratigan's peg legged lacky, Fidget captured Mr. Flaversham to build the robot. Feeling tired, Fidget walked toward the rum barrel, where he met Ratigan's gang.

"What can we do for you, Fidget?" the skinny one asked.

Fidget yawned. "Hi, I'm tired. Can you do me a favor?

"Yes, and what will that be?" the fat one asked.

"Can you make a DO NOT DISTURB sign?"

"Sure thing," the same thin guard said, "You can watch if you like."

"Even if you lose track, it's alright," said the portly mouse, "You need to rest."

Fidget smiled. That was just what he needed to hear all day.

He watched as they made a DO NOT DISTURB sign. When it was finished, one of them said, "Fidget, it's all yours." And Fidget grinned at them as a thank you as he climbed up the pipe.

"Goodnight, Fidget," they said, seeing the bat fall asleep and they crawled underneath him to wait for Ratigan.

Hours past and it was time for Ratigan to wake up his sleeping henchman. First as usual, it started out in a nice tone. The next came off mean. Same old story, but each task was different. Tonight, Ratigan handed the sleepy bat the list. Ratigan wanted Fidget to make sure he didn't mess up and pick the right products for the robot queen and the toymaker's daughter. Fidget read it carefully to keep himself awake until Ratigan shouted at him again. This time, Fidget did not back down. He was going to take it like a man. "Ratigan, I will not go!" Fidget snapped back, putting his foot down.

"And why not, Fidget?" Ratigan asked surprised.

"Because I'm tired and you are lazy!" Fidget growled stubbornly.

"That's absurd!" Ratigan said, rather offended as he put his hands on his hips.

The bat went over to charge him. He was going to get the bell to show him who's boss.

"Ow! Ow! Ow!" Ratigan said. "What are you doing, Fidget? Ouch! Ouch! Ouch!"

Just then, Fidget held the bell before him and scurried.

"You get back here, you little robber!" Ratigan shouted after him.

"Here kitty, kitty," Fidget said as he rang Ratigan's bell.

Felicia, Ratigan's pampered cat prowled along as she gave him the "what can I do for you?" look in her eyes.

"Get Ratigan," Fidget ordered as he pointed toward his boss chasing after him. "He woke me up."

With a sly smile, she obeyed and just when she found Ratigan, he said, "Hello, my baby." His jaw dropped, knowing this was a trap.

Surprised that Felicia chose to treat him differently, he screamed as he ran away from his own pet cat.

Fidget laughed at the sight and took off running to find a farther place to sleep where Ratigan wouldn't find him. That'll teach that old rat not to wake up a sleeping bat, he thought.

The End

Author's note: *Smirks and laughs* That'll teach Ratigan a good lesson for waking Fidget up.
