Hazel held her hand up higher in the cave. She couldn't reach the top. She called to Leo for a light, and the room suddenly bursted with life. Hazel was never afraid of tunnels, but this place was creepy. After her and frank saw what the creature in the other end of the cave was, they told Leo to shut off the light. It was a Minotaur. Even though it was sleeping, it looked like it could kill them in seconds flat. She turned around and mouthed the words' don't move' even the tunnel was behind the half man half animal, she started too slowly and quietly back up. The bad news was that frank accidentally stepped on a twig. Hazel and Leo winced and looked at frank. The Minotaur started to rise. Because hazel was ahead of the two boys, she was the one that was considered a larger threat. She drew her spathas ready to fight; as did the boys with their weapons. The monster charged, nearly knocking hazel off of her feet. Frank shoots as many arrows as he can into the chinks of his armor but the beast ignores it. Same with Leo's fireballs. It was almost if he had a forcefield around him. The guys keep shooting, but with nothing happening. Hazel, feeling panicked, starts to accidentally draw the jewels out of the earth and around her. She calls to her friends, but they are also frozen. Using most of the energy she can, she divides the cavern in two. Her and the monster on one side, frank and Leo on the other. She hears the shouts from them, but stays in her position. Hazel didn't realize this, but blocking the area off wasn't a very good idea. Now the only exit was the cave heading towards to doors of death. In the moment of thought, the Minotaur take the extra second advantage and dives at her and pins her to the ground. She gets dizzy and loses her breath from being knocked out for so long. She sees an explosion from the side of the wall she created, and two boys stumble out. Before them or her can even react, a sharp blade axe comes down hitting her shoulder. The pain was soo immense, her eyes clouded over and heard a mixture of a ringing and screaming in her ears. Later, she realized, those yells were her. At the very last moment someone was shaking her shoulders and yelling her name over and over again. All of the pain and sound together was unbearable. She felt a large breath come out of her body and felt like she wasn't there anymore. She was simply... Gone.
