"So you're my Yami?" said Bakura with a curious stare as the sun had fallen asleep within the horizon. The moon awakes.
"yes," Bakura replied with a hint of a smile "I am your guardian angel, until the very end Ryou." he grins. Has Ryou found his true home at last? or is this some wild dream…
"Better not keep Malik and the others waiting." Bakura lifts Ryou off the ground as if he were lighter than a cat then ascends up the hill with him on his back. "So what're Yami's Bakura?" Ryou asked with a thumb up against his own lip which made Bakura chuckle for a second.
"A yami in particular is just like an angel Ry, but they're both different species," he said "does that answer your question I hope?"
Ryou nods happily making Bakura snort with laughter.
"So who are Malik and the others?" he asked
Bakura accidently stubs his toe against a rock and roars from the tremendous pain with an echo causing a flock of geese to flutter up in the air making Ryou jump off with fear. He runs into the bushes "Don't let them take me away!" he cried out.
"No Ryou wait! Don't go there!" Bakura said, but it was too late. Little Ryou had gone out of sight. So he goes running after him.
Bakura finds Ryou huddled up against a rock staring directly into Bakuras eyes. "Ryou, it's alright. Those were just geese, and that roar that was me." He said smiling as he approached him slowly with his hand in front of him. Ryou was silent his striped t-shirt damped with his own tears. Sobbing.
Bakura embraces him then hushes his crying. "it's okay Ryou, they're not taking you anywhere… not while I'm around." He promised as he softly pressed his chin against Ryous scalp. Ryou smiles a little.
They walk up to the top of the hill looking over the land scape.
Beautiful and full of life, watching a herd of wild antelope gallop. Ryou was completely transfixed on such creatures. Bakura looks down at him and smiles.
"c'mon I've got something I want to show you," said Bakura as he lifted Ryou up again "didn't want Marik to see but I figured a human like you wouldn't know any better." he smirks. Is it what I think he shouldn't?"
"Just a bit further…" Bakura spoke quietly, apparently as if not to scare someone… or something, it was only a few minutes then finally "okay you can open your eyes now."
Ryou wearily opens his eyes, and then they became as wide as diner plates, "Dragons!" he gasped. And he was correct; there in the pond were two almost adult dragons both opposite sex with their three adoring serpents dancing around in the water.
Bakura looks at Ryou again, seeing he was completely overwhelmed with happiness. "One day Ryou," he said as Ryou looks up at him "you'll become a great king, and these dragons will be yours…" he said softly shuffling his hair.
"…No," Ryou said with a shake of his head "I want these dragons to live on peacefully," he sighed "but thank you… for taking me here, Bakura." a big smile forms on his face causing Bakura to smile and nodded.
"Bakura!" shouted a distant voice. He turns around. Two identical figures stood on the hill looking down at them, one of them was waving his hand high in the air.
"we're coming! Come one Ryou let's go and meet them." Bakura said then ran off. But Ryou didn't follow… there was something which paralyzed him.
One of the serpents, a dark green scaled with blue streaks around it with a golden diamond spot on its forehead peered up at him with its dark red eyes, for a moment Ryou could read its thoughts.
Live on my lord, his thoughts spoke. Ryou smiles then runs up the Bakura to catch up as one day he would become a great prince and in hopes of a princess as well and whom would this princess be?
