That Pirate and Boy
A poem by, Melissa Wolf
Will you be my friend?
And stand by till the end?
Forgive a pirate's life of crime,
Despite his constant need to shine.
Listen to his words of Ryhme.
Hear the dream's shout their words,
The untruthfulness isn't heard.
The single boy who loves your deeds,
An adventurer indeed.
He'll stand by you, sun and night.
To him, you're almost always right.
Even in the darkest of times,
That boy will be your light.
So, Pirate, remember the words,
that that boy believes in,
Even if you toy.
He'll follow you forever, as you shout:
"Adventure!" It's so true…
What a crazy adventure they live,
that Pirate and boy.
