Even though it's a private ceremony with only immediate family invited, everyone can tell Kaien and Miyako have gotten married from the look on Kaien's face the day afterwards. There are few things that can put such an expression of dazed bliss on a man's face the way marriage can.
Miyako herself seems about the same—she's always been a composed woman and that's not about to change. She maintains the same sweet smile and calm, serene expression as ever. The only difference is a perpetual pink blush on her cheeks.
Well, no one's entirely surprised by this development. In fact, no one's surprised at all. They all wish never-ending bliss to the happy couple.
But a few people are screaming in despair as they hand over their paychecks to the luckier ones, and those who are much richer than they used to be grin as they pocket their winnings.
