Earthly Patchings

It was almost sunset in Blue Bay Harbor. One person was enjoying the sight from a hilltop. And that someone was Marah. She was sitting down, her knees hugged to her chest, looking into the beautiful horizon. The past few days were crazy for her. Not only did Lothor come back, and she had to pretend to be evil, but three of her friends became evil. None of them could she see being evil. Especially Dustin. With Dustin's trusting and fun-loving demeanor, he was the last soul in the world she would see turn over to the dark side. Even though it was over, and Lothor was gone, it would be a memory to haunt her for a while.

"Room for one more?" a nearby voice asked. Marah looked to her side to see him. Dustin Brooks. He had his real happy looking grin on his face. Marah smiled up at the Earth Ninja Teacher, and nodded. Dustin them sat by Marah, his hands on the ground.

"Weird past few days, huh?" Dustin asked. Marah nodded, and said nothing. Dustin then gave the former villainess a weird look.

"Why so quiet?" he asked. "Look, if this is about Lothor-"

"It's not..." Marah finally said.

"Then what's up?" Dustin asked.

"About the whole Beevil incident..." Marah answered in a whisper.

"She's gone, dude!" Dustin exclaimed.

"I know!" Marah snapped. "But I used you! I called you a dumb-dumb! And that look on your face made me want to cry!"

When Dustin saw Marah's tears, he held her in his arms, while Marah cried into his shirt.

"I'm so sorry, Dustin..." Marah muffled.

"Please don't cry." Dustin whispered. "It's all in the past. We can only move on, dude."

Marah finally lifted her head from Dustin's shirt, and wiped away her tears.

"I guess." Marah said softly. "Thank you. You're so kind."

"And you're so cute." Dustin complimented.

Marah blushed, and kissed Dustin's cheek. "Thanks for being here, Dustin." she whispered.

Dustin grinned, and held Marah again. But this time, Marah didn't shed any tears, as she just fell into Dustin's warm grasp, and leaned her head against her chest. The Yellow Ranger smiled down at the lovely brunette, and rested his cheek against her crown. And for that long and tender moment, they stayed just like that.
