"So you're just leaving it all behind," she rasped, her gaze was unwavering on the blackboard, "like it never meant something to you; like I don't mean anything to you."

He, the boy that sat beside her, remained mum.

She threw an angry glance towards him. "How could you?"

"I don't love you anymore," he replied, not bothering to look at her. "I can't do this anymore."

Her shoulders shook but she fought it. She was not one to cry. "Is there… is there someone else?"

This time he did look at her. And his eyes that were indifferent to her changed.

"I wish it'd been the case," he chuckled humorlessly. "It would've been simpler."

"I don't understand you, Eriol," she said. "Why are you doing this? Why are you so cold to me?"

"Have you not been listening, Tomoyo?" he spat. "I'm not in love with you anymore."

"You're not telling me the truth! What is it, Eriol? Tell me!"

He stood up, ready to leave.

"Don't walk away from me, Eriol," she pleaded. "Please don't walk out on me now."

He was already at the door but stopped half-way to look at her. She was looking at him, her face was crumpled and her eyes were wild. He knew he was breaking her heart.

"I'm leaving for England on Thursday," he told her. She was crying now.

"You…" she began.

But he was already out the door.

On Thursday, she went to the airport and found him with Mizuki Kaho.
