A story about everyone's thoughts in Robot at the bit where the Doctor tries to stop the nuclear timer. You must see that episode. It's a bona fide classic.

"The trouble with computers," the Doctor said, as he pressed one button after another. "Is that they're highly sophisticated idiots. They do whatever you tell them to even if you tell them to kill you." Despite the fact that the timer was ticking away towards zero at an alarming pace, he seemed rather cheerful.
His feelings were not shared by everybody else, however. In fact, the Brigadier,, Sarah Jane and Harry felt quite the opposite. As the Doctor fiddled with the controls in a vain bid to stop the missiles from being launched, Sarah thought about the events of the last five or so minutes.
Miss Winters had managed to restart the countdown and scoffed at the Brigadier's idea of trying to contact the other countries to use their failsafe plan. With less than three minutes to go, there was no way they would arrive in time. Sarah had threatened to shoot her but hadn't gone through with it, thanks to them being seized by the UNIT troops. Then the Doctor began to stop the countdown as the seconds ticked away.
The Brig kept looking frantically from The Doctor to the countdown as the numbers fell below 030, an expression of panic on his face nobody had ever seen the like of before. If the missiles were fired, the nuclear war which followed would bring so much devastation, it would be unbelievable. After Great Britain's rockets went, Russia, China and the USA would fire theirs Sarah and Harry were about two feet away. Her hand was in his and with each passing second, her grip tightened. Each of them silently screamed at the Doctor to hurry up.
As the seconds fell away below ten, Sarah felt slightly dizzy. The Doctor had literally less than ten seconds to save the world.
Then he leant back with a flourish. The timer had reached 002 and frozen. The missiles would not be fired.
The relief which followed was unbelievable
