"He's all grown up, our Harry."
The man lay down the soft green grass, looking up to the clear skies for a moment before continuing. "He's not as healthy as I would like him to be, but then again there is the reason that he's been living with your wife's ugly sister."
He smiles. "How can Redhead have such an appalling sibling anyway? I mean, bloody hell, they look nothing alike and yet they're related in flesh and blood. It's insane, I tell you."
The wind rustles around him and he breathes in a deep breath. "Ah, the skies sure are much much bluer when you're outside. I can't believe it's been so long since I've seen the world." The man looks over at his side and shrugs despite himself. "I'm sorry… for never visiting. I bet you missed me, didn't you?"
"Oh well. Harry's got two best friends. A boy and a girl."
"Yes, a girl. Our Harry's all grown up."
He laughs. "The boy is Arthur and Molly's youngest son. A Weasley through and through. Ron's his name. And he looks a little like Arthur did when he was still in school with us. He's a good friend, I suppose. I got him injured, but I was trying to get to that filthy rat."
"I hear he's fine now, so I don't need to worry. I sent him an owl to compensate for his missing rat."
The man breathes another deep breath and sighs. "Ah, the air is wonderful. I can't believe I'm free…"
"Sorry about that. I've been away for so long."
"What else should I tell you? Oh right. The girl best friend. Her name's Hermione Granger. Bushy haired and a know-it-all. She's stubborn as hell too. Like Redhead"—the wind rustles stronger around him—"oh sorry, Lily used to be when you were still persuading her to go out with you. I bet she would have loved this girl. They're cut from the same cloth."
"I like her though. She's level headed, smart… and not to mention cares for Harry a lot. I don't think she realizes how much though. She doesn't seem to be the type that puts her feelings first."
The grass is so soft. He wanted to curl and sleep now – but he needed to be mindful and be quick with his visit before they come.
"I wouldn't mind if they ended up together. I don't think people will react nicely to it… but maybe, it might work. People didn't believe you at first when you said that Lily was going to be your wife… but, you did it, didn't you? There were bumps along the way – all of them beautiful women"—the wind rustles much much stronger now—"Sorry Lily. But still you held on to one woman."
"Maybe. One day, Harry'll find his own. Like you did…"
He stood up from his spot now, and motioned to the flying hippogriff. "He's a smart boy after all. He has your genes, your courage… and Lily's heart."
"I have to get going now, Prongs. I don't want to leave – but you know me – I have to keep on moving or else I'll have an aneurysm."
He waved at the stones in front of him and grinned.
"Harry's going to be fine... James, Lily… you both never left him really."
Author's Note: Uh, completely pointless. But I like it. Read and Review!
