Donna's POV
Getting up this morning sucked. I just didn't want to do it. Yesterday, I engaged a chicken.
Now for anyone who doesn't know me this wouldn't seem like that big of deal. But I didn't just engage any chicken, oh no I engaged a giant chicken. A man dressed it a chicken suit. And it was caught on tape by CNN.
Now, some people would say, "Why'd you engage a chicken?" Well the simple answer was, the second I saw them and there shirts it had Josh written all over it. I knew he'd do something like that because of the debates and I'd been waiting for it all week. But the chickens, I wonder if Santos knew about it.
I walk into campaign headquarters and everyone is staring at me. And there not being very discreet about it either. They are blatantly staring at me. I keep my eyes on the floor and walk quickly to my office. I close the door behind me a curse Josh once again for sending the chickens. But then I look up and see a vase of lilies on my desk. They are beautiful, and they are from Josh. I know it before I even read the card because he always gets me lilies.
I take a step to get to my desk, and yes it is only a step. I may have an office which is a big step up but it's the size of a closet, I'm not even sure how they managed to fit the desk in here. Anyway, I pick up the card and it reads "Didn't I ever teach you not to engage a chicken-Josh"
I've always had a soft spot for lilies and he's known it since the second day we worked together. Which, for the record, was the first time he pissed me off. Over the years he's sent me dozens upon dozens of lilies. And every time he did it I forgave him. This time is no exception and he knows it.
A/N ok i know it was short but i had fun wirting it. PLEASE tell me what you think!
