The memory house of Severus Snape.
The outside of the house is medium, it isn't a poor house or and exquisitely rich house either. It is tall with gothic drainpipes and gargoyles. There is a weedy garden in the front, surrounded by a high wall with glass and barbed wire on the top. The front door is made out of rich mahogany, there is a lump of rusty metal were the doorknob once was.
We open the door and enter the house; the entrance hall is empty and dark. As we open the next door we come to the main room which is dominated by the staircase, at the top of which is a oil panting of a skull with a snake protruding from the mouth, this painting is torn savagely. Also in the room is a series of portraits, each with a small plaque underneath saying 'Severus Snape' coming after is the date it was taken, there are thirty six in total. Moving up the stairs there are several doors. In the first one there is a huge potions lab, on the shelves are every potions ingredient known to man, each has small neat writing, this room is less dusty and uncared for than the others, in fact this room is also lighter…there is even a large comfy chair to relax in.
We move on to the next room, this room has obviously not been entered for many years, all the furniture is covered in dust sheets dotted around the room, the only thing uncovered is a family portrait of some kind, the members of the portrait seem to be blurred, we try to look closer but for some reason cannot make out anymore… it's a trivial thing to notice, but we see that the carpet is a deep royal red.
The last room on this side of the staircase is a bathroom, the bathtub, sink and floor are all made of stone, on the side of the basin is a blade, on which there is a mysterious red liquid on the edge, also there is a clump of hair lying on the floor…the owner of this house does not like themselves very much, we proceed to the other side of the stair case, where there is a grand bedroom. The posts of the bed are lined with emerald green curtains; in the wood of the bed is snakes carved in. strangely in one piece of wood there is a lion entwined with a snake, in some kind of battle. On the wall there is a photo of a women and next to it is a child's drawing of the women, the drawing shows a stick women, around her is some kind of golden halo, next to it is the simple word 'mother'.
We find ourselves in the next room; this room is decayed and mouldy. A statue of a man is in the centre, he is standing sternly, but also proudly…his eyes are glaring. On the matching plaque we find the name 'Uriah Snape' the eyrie music playing faintly in the background is Beethoven, the walls which should have been white, have grey and yellowish patches on them, the person who owns the place obviously has never been able to pay this room any attention for some reason.
The last room we visit, we have to unlock, but even before we enter we realise there is someone trapped in there, and hurry up. Our first thought as we enter is school. This room is vast and seems to stretch for miles, every inch of it is filled with desks. All the desks have a name scratched into them. It takes us a few minutes to reach the other side of the room, were to our surprise we find a teenage boy in the foetal position, he is obviously crying. We hear voices echoing around the room, all of them are jeering and cruel; we catch words like 'worthless' and 'ugly' with each one the boy shudders.
We feel we have seen enough. We make our way out of the room, across the hall, down the stairs and then out of the house slowly. As we make our way down the over grown path and the barricaded walls…like everyone else, we don't look back at the nightmare of Severus Snape.
