Tin Man 1
Own Nothing.
One-shot
"So you're a Tin Man?" She asked as she glanced down at her cards. They were playing cards, her and the head of security for the Princess, her friend DG. When an weird tornado hit the Burrow, taking her with it. She was confused, and not really welcome in the O.Z when they found out she was a witch, but she gain some trust over time when she helped Glitch with his projects and she proved herself useful.
It also helped that she let Raw look through her memories, showing them on a mirror for everyone to see. Afterwards, Az and DG rushed over to her in tears. The Queen invited her to stay as long as she liked, or until thy could figure out how to get a 'traveling storm' to go near magical London area without going astray.
But she was having fun, her, DG, and Az got along just fine, playing with their magic and doing girl stuff that she didn't even dream of doing around Harry and Ron. She and Raw got along, just like her and Glitch when she first helped with an experiment. The Queen and her escort loved her, treating her like another daughter.
The only one she had a problem with was Mr. Cain, the Tin Man. It was okay, because he didn't like her either. "Yes, I'm a Tin Man."
"And that's like a police officer?" She asked as she shuffled her cards. "Got any sevens?"
"Go fish." He stated and she drew a card from the deck. "Yes, I'm a police officer. And you're an Auror?"
"Yes, it's like a police officer and a bounty hunter together. I don't really like it though."
"Got any fives?" He smirked when she handed one over. "Why do it if you hate it so much?"
"I didn't say I hate it. It's just that there's so many bad guys, that they need all of the more capable people catching them. I wanted to be a teacher or a researcher."
"You can still do that." He looked through his deck again. "Got any twos?"
"Go fish." She sighed. "I guess working with Mr. Glitch is researching and we're teaching each other about our worlds. I just wanted to do something more in my life. Before I decide to settle down and get married."
"You're still young, you got plenty of time." Cain replied.
"You're right. Just wanted to be somewhere by the time I turned 23." She sighed. "Got and sevens?"
He handed one over and she set it down. "Why don't you like me Mr. Cain?" He looked up at her, taken back. "I'm not talking personality wise, I'm bossy and a know-it-all and I know that get on people's nerves, many don't like it. But I get the feeling that because I'm a witch, you don't trust me, there fore you don't like me."
He set his cards down and look at her. "I don't hate you, I'm still trying to figure you out." He began. "We've had bad experiences with witches and you come along, befriend everyone and it's a little suspicious. I just have the Princess's safety in heart."
She nodded and set down her card. "It's late. I should probably get to bed. Thank you for being honest Mr. Cain." She stood up, she was turning away when he grabbed her hand.
"You didn't let me finish." He stated. "I don't hate you, I admire you, all you've been through and you still can smile. I saw how hard you try to make sure that your friends stay alive I saw what precautions you took so your parents would be safe. I feel safe that the Princess will be safe when she's with you." He let go of her hand and gave her a small smile. "You're a good person Miss Granger."
She gave him a smile. "Thank you Mr. Cain." she turned and walked to the door. "I'll see you in the morning, good night, Sir."
"Good night Miss Granger."
