New York City had everything, and that was usually a plus, but not so much when that something was a rogue's gallery of super villains.

They seemed fixed to either rule or destroy the Big Apple. It was a challenge, but nothing the city's own local hero couldn't handle!

Spider-Man ran, he sped across rooftops. Sirens blazed down Manhattan and he was close behind. Jumping off a ledge and into a headroll, the webslinger shot a web and hurled himself forward.

The lenses on his mask had a built-in AR heads-up display system and MJ's caller ID flashed in the upper corner of it. A communication setup was also in place, easier than holding a phone while webslinging.

"Hey, MJ!" he said as he ran across the side of a building.

"You're already on you way, aren't you?" she said.

"Yeah, going down 1st Avenue right now," the webhead replied, swinging from another web. "Something's up, counting five squad cars as we speak!"

"A bunch of armed robbers are holding up a school bus. They're claiming to want a free pass out of town before they release the kids," MJ said with a concern to her voice. "The Bugle's already on the scene, things are heating up there."

"Time to get to work!" he replied before ending the call and web-yanking himself up to a nearby rooftop.

It was a big enough street but with all the squad cars and that big yellow to block the mid-section, it seemed alley-sized. Spider-Man perched on the ledge as he observed the situation.

"Drop your guns and let the children go!" shouted one of the many officers that had the bus surrounded. His firearm aimed at the one robber who stood outside the bus with a shotgun.

"Forget it! We want out of this city without any trouble," said the robber who's face was masked by a black ski-mask, his fellow robbers wore the same.

"Alright, headcount. Spotting four goons, one outside and three inside the bus," Spider-Man noted. His spider-sense buzzed and he knew that acting fast was the way to go.

The three robbers inside had their shotguns aimed at the kids. It was a high school bus. The driver had a bruised face but was otherwise okay. They had tried to rob a bank but screwed up and in desperation they held-up a school bus.

"Come out now or you'll be shot by a sniper," another cop threatened, bluffed was more like it.

"We're getting out of here or these kids are done!" said the robber who grew increasingly anxious.

Spider-Man sprung into action as he dove down and propelled himself through the air. He shot a trip mine toward the outside robber, a small round device that flashed a blue beam had been stuck to the robber's shoulder.

Before he had a second thought, the robber was pulled against the bus by the trip mine and was covered in a thick coating of webbing.

The other robbers panicked and in their panick they shot at the windows of the bus. /Who are these idiots shooting at?/ Spidey thought as he swung above the bus and landed at the back of it.

He yanked the back door open and launched himself inside. He dove through the length of the bus and flicked his wrists, shooting several strands of web that flung the robbers with him to the front of the bus.

In seconds he had them webbed together and stuck on a chair.

The teenagers were in complete shock and also relief. The ordeal was over and they'd been saved by Spider-Man.

One of the teenagers stood up and held his phone in hand. "Dude, nice moves! Can I get a selfie?" said the kid who obviously loved the latest fashion trends.

"Sure thing," the webhead said as he swung his arm over the kid's shoulder and made a peace sign. "Stay in school and...don't do drugs!"

The webslinger left the scene, running up the side of a building and using his webs to pull himself toward the roof. The cops took the robbers into custody and the kids were looked after. The Bugle had snapped a few shots. Just another day being a friendly neighborhood Spider-Man!
