This is my 1st thing, and I'm not great at poetry, costructive criticism welcomed.
Sonnet for Gibbs
If only you knew the pain you inflict,
As if my heart were in a vice-like hold,
Yet left alone in a desolate crypt.
What did I do to deserve such a scold?
Did I hurt you in a life before this?
Back then was I ever undoubtedly yours?
If I were, then it must be that I miss,
And am reaching for with desperate claws.
Did you love me as deelpy as I you now?
Did I refuse to give us a chanse to start?
For only reasos like this could ever alow
Me to let you so cruelly steal my heart.
For my love of you is all but divine,
Longing for the day your heart can be mine.
