"And what is it we're looking for, exactly?"

A chesnut-haired man in a red vest and plain dark-colored jeans calls out to his partner in front of him, a satchel on his back of tools, goggles on his slightly scarred face, covering his moss-green eyes; and a carving knife in its special scale-skin sheath on his belt as the two of them trudge through a mountainous terrain of unusual food-like plants, rocks and creatures.
"It's been a long time since we came back to the 8th Biotope you know, it's not like anything here that we can get will power either of us up anymore."

A short, green-haired woman quips back quickly, a tone of impatience in her youthful voice and a spring in her step, there's something unusual about this girl. She's outfitted with a lavish and quirky, colorful orange and pink dress-up type of outfit that would look more at home at a convention or costume party- a ruffle designed to look like a smile around her neck, puffy sleeves on her shoulders ending in short thin sleeves. A yellow bow with an in-bone meat icon rests on the button-up shirt, the back ends in orange coattails that end in pointed tips adorned with a pink heart marking on the ends. Fruit slice designs adorn the hem of the puffy, frilly skirt, reminiscent of a fruit salad of sorts. Downward striped leggings colored pale green and yellow peek out from underneath, and small curl-toed green and orange boots are on her surprisingly tiny feet, completing the unusual look.

"Ah? What're we gettin? Oh yanno, the ol Rainbow Fruit that we first met over while lookin for it, d'ya remember that, ya numpty?" Her brillant tangerine eyes sparkle with mischief as she turns around to face him and hops with one foot off a small stone spire and landed on another with utmost delicacy. "So you can make that Rainbow Fruit Jelly and that Rainbow Fruit Wine for me again, it's been about 10 years, ain't it Spytz?" The calmer, rougher fellow smiled softly and chuckles to himself.

"As if I could forget when you saved my life, I'm still indebted y'know. And you've been talking about it the whole ride here, mostly the first time we met, you're just lucky that Tom's a fan of yours and took us here." He's taking the longer route, around the rough terrain on the flattest ground he can see, but it's the safer choice for those without Gourmet Cells, like his partner Bounce. He never did figure out how she can hop on those spikes so easily- probably just a Gourmet Hunter thing, he figures. That's not his cup of tea anyway, if he had to fight he'd ruin his favorite knife defending himself.

He shuffles around the last corner and up a somewhat tall slope to meet up with Bounce on the other end, before the steppes; presenting to the pair the massive troop of the Troll Kongs ahead of them. "Whoa, hey, cool it for a minute, this is where those Troll Kongs were last time, Bounce. You think they'll attack this time if we go near again?" A scout spots them first, the weakest of the bunch, drumming up a storm and howling and grumbling their best intimidation displays. They knew of the humans' presence since they got in.

"Most likely."
