After defeating Eustace who had become a giant kangaroo monster by becoming another giant kangaroo monster, Courage hopped back to Nowhere from Paris. There, he decided to forgo the surgery to have the giant kangaroo monster bone removed from his body and decided to stay like this. He could protect Muriel in this state; who or what could possibly stop a giant kangaroo monster? Nothing. And that made Courage happy.

Upon returning to what remained of the house, Courage just rocked back and forth on his tail and legs with Muriel in her pouch. "Ah, so nice and cozy," she sighed. "I feel like a little joey. Though I wonder, when will Eustace come back?"

Back in Paris, the prime minister stood before the giant blob that Eustace had become, presenting a medal. "For his generosity and appreciation of the French pastry industries," he said. "I present the Legion of Honor medal to the genius monster kangaroo!"
The crowd applauded as Eustace continued to stuff his face full of French pastries. "Who cares," he burped. "Free food!"
