My my my, hasn't it been a while! Remi here, trying something from a different fandom and also trying a story that leaves a different touch!

Author: Remi

Warnings: Yaoi, one sided love, AU (I guess?), heavily implied sexual situations... although, it's nothing too graphic.

Disclaimers: I don't own any of these characters, franchises, nothing at all!

They kept coming and going. They had already decided that it needed to stay that way. That was the only way they wanted to establish it.

So why did Marth care so much when Ike left?

It was a dead end relationship anyway. They were just "friends" with benefits.

Feelings weren't supposed to matter.

"Forget all of your feelings." Ike had told him before.

It was easier said than done.

Ike never really announced his arrivals.

He would just come whenever he pleased. Whenever he needed to.

It's winter the next time Marth sees him. Snow blankets the frosty city. Marth lets the blunet in along with his frigid needs.

When Marth closes the door, he finds himself suddenly pinned against it, warm lips leaving a trail of kisses from the nape of his neck to his collar bone. Neither of them say a word.

Ike is gone again by the next morning.

Why did Marth love him? Why couldn't he have just ended it?

The questions constantly bite at him, threatening to drive him mad.

But he knows.

Ike chose him.

Ike came to him.

Ike came to him and only him.

"Marth," he whispers into the other's ear.

"Shut up," he answers. "Shut up... Shut up."

Ike understands.

He's gone by morning.

It hurts Marth to think of Ike so lovingly, when there was no love at all.

Marth was sure it was unrequited. It had to be if Ike could just leave him so easily.

It's sometime in the summer the next time Ike comes to see him.

Marth lets him in, repeating his mistake.

It's winter again when Ike arrives.

They're tangled under the sheets together, bodies dripping with sweat. Marth's grip on Ike tightens each time the blunet rocks into him.

"Kiss me," Marth breathes out.

Ike does.

Marth says it again. Ike does it again.

Within that moment, Marth pretended that they were lovers.

It's the end of autumn when they meet again. The cycle repeats itself.

Marth wants to forget, but Ike ends up reigniting his burned out feelings, so Marth keeps loving him. They continue seeking each other. They continue making mistakes. They continue being so selfish, and Marth keeps pretending.

"Stay." Marth whispers to him.

Ike nods, but it's just an empty promise.

He's gone again by morning.
