"Dive!" screamed Max. I dove just enough out of the way the one of the Erasers failed to grab me. 'Damn these things are annoying.'

I looked around at the flock. Everyone's still here, good. But where's…

"Agghh!" I shot a glance down to see that Iggy had been tackled by one of the Erasers.

"Iggy!" I screamed and dove downward. My foot collided with the mongrels face and sent him hurling to the ground. Another one heard the thump and turned to attack me. I spun around to see if I could distract him with my wing. This startled him and he flew directly into a tree. 'Boom bitch.' I though and laughed to myself.

"Iggy, are you alright?" I bent down to him. The Eraser that had attacked him twisted his wing really badly.

"Shit, wait here." I flew as quick as I could up to Max. When I reached her she had just finished destroying the last Erasers.

"Max!" I yelled. "Iggy's hurt!" I flew back down with her to the tree I had left him by.

"Iggy, how do you feel?" She said worried. She was never good with situations like this.

"I can't move my wing." He answered.

"Crap, well…um…Fang can you carry him?" She asked.

"Of course." I answered. I bent down and slung one of his arms over my shoulders to lift him off the ground a bit.

"Sorry if this hurts." I added and then hoisted his body off the ground and into my arms. He let out a yelp.

"Sorry. Sorry." I apologized. God, I hated hurting him.

"It's okay." He replied.

I then proceeded to take off into the night sky with Max by my side and the flock behind.

My arms started to get tired, but I didn't care. Iggy was hurt and I wanted to help him. I mean I barely ever get to. Since he's sensitive about being blind he likes to do things himself. Which, now that I think about it, he never really needed help in the first place. He gets along just fine on his own.

But, I love him so if this is all I can do by hell I'm going to do it.

About three hours later we flew into some random cave on the side of mountain. I think we were somewhere in the Appalachian Mountains. But, far enough off from any city there's no way we could be found.

I set Iggy down by a rock and proceeded to bind his wing to his side with some extra rope we found at an abandoned warehouse the other day.

"Thanks." He said and smiled at me. 'He's so cute.' I thought. I couldn't help but laugh at the fact that his eyes were looking at a rock and not me.

"Hey Iggy," I said and twisted his chin to look at me," over here." I laughed and jokingly ruffled his hair.

"Oh, sorry." He apologized.

"No problem." I sat down next him and started adjusting the rope on his wing.
"Ouch!" He yelped when I hit the wing wrong.

"Sorry! Are you okay?" Damn I did it again.

"Yeah, I'm fine it just stings a bit that all." He answered. "Hey Fang?"

"Hm?"

"Come here for a moment."

I hopped over to the other side of him so that I was right in front of his face.

"What 'cha need?" I inquired.

His hand reached out and I could see he was probably trying to figure out where I was. I chuckled and grabbed his hand and put it on my head. It then proceeded to rub across my forehead, down along the bridge of my nose, until it found my lips. Only then did he lean forward.

I was confused a bit. Then, his hand was replaced by lips. I realized he was kissing me. My eyes closed and I leaned in. He then tangled his fingers in my hair and I tangled mine in his deepening the kiss.

It went on like that for about five minutes. Then we broke apart and he blushed.

"Sorry." He said a little embarrassed.

"Don't be. I kissed you back remember?" I started to get up when I heard his voice.

"Hey Fang?" He asked.

"Yes, Iggy?" I answered.

"Don't tell Max." He replied.

"Wasn't planning on it." I then kissed him on the cheek and went to join the rest of the flock.
