Whispers

Sounds coming in and out of mouths. They are being whispered through the halls, none of us will know them all.

Secrets that people don't want others to know, secrets people are too afraid to tell others, secrets that others laugh about, lie about, secrets that we doubt.

People huddled in a corner, hiding in rooms, outside in the air, telling secrets about things and people that we don't really care.

You swear you heard your name be said, but you're not sure.

You're not as close with your friends as you once were.

Then again you whisper to others quietly, hoping no one hears,

For if someone did that would be your greatest fear.

But for every time you talk about someone else,

Someone else is also talking about you.

Whether it's outside or in a room,

Every secret comes out soon.
