She watches them
She watches them.
Even after her reputation was ruined, her friends betrayed ('Is this how Azula felt when Mai and Ty Lee left her?' she wonders (not that she will ever admit out loud she watched Avatar)) her, and she lost to the kitchen girl, she watches them.
And it hurts.
But she doesn't cry.
Because T.J. just wouldn't approve of showing such weakness.
She is Tess Tyler, and she was perfect.
She doesn't notice the boy.
He's just as good as Shane.
She doesn't realize it, though.
Because he might be as good as Shane, but he isn't the star of the show.
He's the other guy.
So it doesn't matter, because she will only take the best.
And he's not the best.
(At least through the eyes of Tess Tyler.)
And he'll continue to watch her watch them.
Maybe someday she'll be watching him, too.
