Greetings, Digi fans. Been a long time. So I saw Reunion for the first time. Oh my God it was soooooooo good. I could not get enough of it. I was surprised by how much has not changed with our beloved DigiDestined, despite them getting older. I especially was taken by the one scene with TK and Kari and that is what led to this one-shot. They are just so perfect together that I cannot stand it.

"Nah, I've already got plans on Sunday."

Kari could barely hide her disappointment as she pushed her bike along. Tai was not going to be happy when she told him that everybody was too busy to come to his game. She hoped TK would be available but she just found out that was not the case.

The two of them were walking home from school together and trying to figure out what to do when it came to their brothers and their upcoming events. Tai had a soccer game and Matt had a concert on the same day.

"So you can't come?" She asked the blonde-haired boy next to her.

"No. I'm taking a friend to see my brother's band." TK said.

This piqued Kari's interest.

"Is this friend a 'she'?" She asked curiously.

"Yeah."

She stopped dead in her tracks. TK kept walking along until he noticed she wasn't pacing alongside him. She gave him a sly grin, understanding exactly what that implied.

"I see," she teasingly said. "So it's kinda like a date, no?"

TK immediately blushed. "No it's not like that," he denied. "She's just a friend is all."

Kari snorted as she slipped on past him, not buying it for one second.

"Mmhm, sure." She teased.

TK followed her, wondering exactly what she was getting at. This had been going on for the past while: whenever he would bring up the topic of girls, Kari would tease him relentlessly. He may have an idea why.

"What is that supposed to mean?" He asked.

Kari played the 'innocent little Kari' facade that she always did when she would try to get away with something and had no idea what someone was talking about.

"Oh nothing," she shrugged, the smirk not leaving her face.

"Wait a second," TK finally realized what it could be. A teasing grin worked its way onto his face. "Kari Kamiya, are you jealous?"

She scoffed.

"In your dreams, Takeru." She shot back, stopping to allow him to catch up.

"Hey now," he pointed a finger in warning.

"But I am worried that Tai's gonna be bummed out if no one's there to cheer him on," she explained.

"Same with Matt," TK agreed. "He was hoping that everybody would come to his gig."

This surprised Kari. Matt was never one to let people know what he was feeling.

"He actually said that?" She asked.

TK chuckled. "Of course not. He's just like Tai. They act like they don't care but we know what's really going on."

"Yeah," Kari agreed.

A/N: Decided to kinda ramp up the teasing from the original clip but still a good look into how much they have grown up. You cannot deny that there is something going on between those two.
