-Losing a Lily-
There were rumors floating around. No could confirm, or deny the one most important to one mister Severus Snape.
No could tell weather the Potter's were truly dead or not.
Snape knew the rumors were true, though. He could feel in his heart that Lily was no longer breathing. He knew he would protect Lily's son, no matter the cost. Because Snape had seen the boy, Snape had seen Lily's bright green eyes on the child.
Snape also knew that James Potter must also be dead. Snape knew beyond a doubt that James had died before Lily in a last ditch effort to save her.
It was all in vain though. Lily was gone. All that was left of her was her son. The boy who looked so much like his father Snape forgot it was Harry and not James.
The Potters' lost their son to Muggles that day was well. Harry was sent to Lily's retched sister's home. Snape knew one day he would save him from that.
Snape never knew it would hurt this much. He lost Lily. Losing a Lily hurt Snape worse than he knew anything ever could. He could not stop the tear flow. Snape was drowning in his own sorrow.
"Sev, there are other's. You are only losing a Lily." Her voice floats around him. And he knows.
He will never forget her. He will think of it as losing a Lily. And there are always more flowers out there.
