This is a Lulu/Diego fic and it might be a one-shot but probably more if I get enough reviews. I own nothing.
Summary- What if two friends changed over one summer? What if there was another dance at Jake's? What if?
Chapter One: We fell
Lulu Spencer walked into Jake's bar deciding to drink her sorrows away. She was reeling from losing her mother again and not having any evidence that she hadn't killed Rick Webber. Dillon took Georgie on some Hawaiian vacation and Lulu didn't really care. A certain someone had been on her mind lately. Diego Alcazar. Her eyes locked onto him as she saw him sitting down drinking a beer.
"Long time no see stranger" Lulu called flirtatiously
"Lulu!" he said. His face lit up when he saw her. She looks good he thought. Her blond hair was down and straight the way he liked it. She was wearing a blue shirt and a pair of tight jeans. He walked over and gave her a hug "How are you?" he asked "I heard about your umm…..mom" he said quietly
"Yeah… ummm she… well you heard no need to explain." She said obviously tearing up. "I came here to get a drink or two." She laughed
"What a coincidence so did I?" He laughed. They sat on bar stools and Lulu got a beer. Coleman didn't are that they were underage so lulu drank there all the time.
"How's your dad and Skye an Lila Rae?" Lulu asked.
"Good. How are your brothers?" he asked
"Well Nikolas and Emily are getting remarried in about 3 weeks. It's so great." Lulu beamed. "Plus Lucky made a full recovery. And you know how Samantha McCall and Jason Morgan broke- up and got back together?" she asked
"Yeah." He said
"Well" she giggled "Sam left Jason for Lucky." She giggled "Jason left town. And Lucky and sam are really happy. He needed someone after Maxie went to Texas and Elisabeth died." She said "Him and Sam are expecting a baby." Lulu gushed
"Wow!" Diego said "That's great. You know Lulu even though we hung out to break up Georgie and Dillon I always liked you." He admitted shyly
"I always liked you too." She smiled "I've been thinking about you. Worrying actually."
"I worry about you too. I guess you worry that I'm gonna get shot and killed and I'm always worried that someone will hurt you. Emotionally or physically." He smiled sadly." I hate seeing you upset" he said
"We both fell Diego" she said "I just want you to know that I really want to be friends again."
"I want the same" he said. Just then the song came on. The song they had danced to at Jake's that night. It had all been so simple back then. 'You want to dance?" he asked
"You remembered" Lulu said shocked and happily. She got up and walked into Diego's waiting arms. They got to the middle of the dance floor and danced just like they had that night.
