Chapter 1: No Longer Alone
Yami sat quietly in his new room in an adult care home he had been placed in after he was released from the hospital.
He missed Yugi so much, the last time he saw him was a month ago when he was in the hospital after the Stanton's had abused him.
Yami would just lie there in his bed staring at the ceiling almost all night.
He wouldn't why Yugi didn't come to visit him like he used to.
Did Yugi hate him?
Did Yugi forget about him? Suddenly the door opened and Yami's nurse, Mina Ross, walked in.
Mina was 24 years old and she had short curly black hair, purple eyes and toned skin.
She had been a nurse at the care home for 2 years and hated it, her mother wouldn't stop bugging her about getting a job so she applied for the first one she could find.
"Dinner is here." She said coldly and put a tray a soup on Yami's bed.
Yami didn't move a muscle, Mina was one of the many people that scared him at the care home.
"Don't be expecting me to feed you." She snarled.
Yami slowly crawled over to the tray and tried to eat the soup.
But unfortunately he still had trouble doing things like that and he kept spilling some of it on his shirt.
"Great now I have to wash that again!" Mina exclaimed angrily.
Yami jumps at the tone of her voice and accidently dropped the bowl on her foot.
"Why you little shit!" She shouted and grabbed his arm roughly.
Luckily for Yami another nurse walked in, although Yami didn't know this nurse's name he was very sweet and sometimes gave Yami a piece of chocolate.
"What is the problem Ms Ross?" He asked.
"Yami dropped his dinner on his shirt and when I attempted to clean it up he assaulted me." She lied.
"Well, that won't be happening again. Yami, your mother wants to see you." He smiled and lead the boy into the corridor.
"Oh and Ms Ross. Due to several complaints I'm afraid that the care home is gonna have to let you go." He smiled before closing the door...
Soon Yami was sat down in the room where all the games, TV and a bunch of other fun things were.
Yami was surprised to see that with his mother was Seto Kaiba; he hadn't seen Seto since he moved in with the Stanton's.
"Yami." Miwa smiled and embraced her son in a hug.
"Sweetie, me and Kaiba have been talking and we think it's best if you lived with him from now on." She explained, Yami looked at Seto who was smiling kindly at him.
"If that is what you want?"
Yami grinned from ear to ear and wrapped his arms tightly around Seto's waist.
"I'll take that as a yes." He chuckled...
The ride to the Kaiba Mansion was a long one.
Seto talked to Yami about he big the mansion was and how he shouldn't be afraid to ask the CEO anything.
Soon they arrived at the mansion.
Yami looked around the room in awe, he was surprised by how big it was.
"Yami!"
Yami turned to the staircase just in time to have Mokuba tackle him into a hug.
"I hope you like staying here with use. If there's a problem you come to either me or Seto. Do you wanna see your room?" The raven haired child asked quickly before dragging Yami up the stairs...
When the reached Yami's room Yami smiled.
He had a soft double bed with Dark Magician design, a giant TV on the wall with video games and a small bathroom attached.
"I'll go get your bags." Mokuba said and was out the door in a flash.
Yami walked over to his new bed and lay down on it.
When Mokuba came back he saw Yami fast asleep and smiled.
He turned the lights off and quietly shut the door...
AN: Ok, so after reading some of the reviews for my story 'Mockingbird Don't Sing' I decide to post a little side story to give you all some comfort.
This story is about Yami's first year with the Kaiba brothers.
If you guys don't like it then I can delete it if you want.
