They say you can never forget your first love. Tenten remembers it well. She was young and foolish at the tender age of thirteen.
She remembers the wild missions and the need to succeed. She remembers Lee refusing to let her carry out her duties because of a silly broken ankle. She remembers being jealous of Sakura for having become the apprentice of Tsunade.
She remembers Ino and how it was an endless competition between her and the pink haired kunoichi.
She remembers Naruto at Ichiraku ramen stand and Hinata fainting when he said hi to her. She remembers the day Sasuke left the village, and she also remembers the day he returned.
She remembers Shino sitting in a lonely corner with his bugs and Kiba would join him, even though it annoyed him.
She remembers Shikamaru falling asleep in his jounin exam, and she remembers Chouji being so nervous that he couldn't eat.
She remembers Sai in the library, examining through some of the books that helped with socialising and she remembered each sensei in turn, how they motivated herself and her companions.
But most of all, she remembers Neji and how he constantly out did ever one. She remembers getting so mad at him one time for not commenting on her new hair cut. She remembers sparring with him and trying desperately to beat the wind out of him.
She remembers Lee interupting a session between them because he was sure Tenten would kill someone if given the chance.
But she also remembers him staying behind to help her pick up the weapons she had used on him moments ago. She remembers the A ranked mission in which she was about to faint and his strong arms kept her sturdy.
She remembers a cold winters night while they were scouting. They had set up a tent in a secluded area and she had come down with a serious case of pneumonia. He had stayed by her side until she was well enough to move.
Gai and Lee had to carry out the mission while he nursed her back to health. He never complained about it.
Yes, Tenten remembers her first love well. It was a long time ago, but she still gets the fluttering in the pit of her stomach every time she sees him.
