Hello! This is my second Wicked fanfiction and it's basically this drabble about the cast waiting in line at a movie theater. although weather they have movie theaters in Oz is debatable... I don't own Wicked, if I did I'd be the happiest person in the world. No, really.
"Remind me again why we're standing in this very long line?" Elphaba asked Galinda as they stood in line at the movie theater.
"Because!" squeaked Galinda, "It's the premier of How to Succeed in the Wizard Business Without Really Trying!"
"And we're going to this- with my sister, your boyfriend, those clones, and Boq- why?"
"Because, Elphie, we all wanted to see it and I wanted you to come too! Because you're my friend!"
"This is a really long line," Nessarose commented.
"Yeah, it is," Fiyero agreed.
Five minutes later, the line had moved an inch.
"The trouble with lines is, they always make you wait too long! Believe me, I've been standing here long enough to know!" Fiyero began to sing.
"Oh, no," Elphaba muttered.
"They want you to become more later, think less straighter," He continued.
"Shut up!" Elphaba snapped, but there was no stopping him.
"WAITING IN LINES!" he belted, "BEING IMPATIENT! C'MON WE'VE GOT TO GO! I'M IMPATIENT, BUT KNOWING I'M IMPATIENT! IT'S A LINE, SO JUST KEEP WAITING THROOOOUUUUGGGHHH!"
"Fifi?" Galinda chirped, "could you please sing quieter? People are staring."
"Don't sing at all!" added Elphaba.
A few minutes later, they'd moved another inch.
"I didn't know this movie was so popular," Nessarose said.
"When ever I see some one," Galinda began.
"You had to say the p word," Elphaba said to herself.
"In a shorter line than I! and let's face it! Who isn't? in a shorter line than I!"
"Uh, Miss Galinda?" Boq said, stepping out of line, "I hope you'll save a place in line for me, I'll be there," He pointed at the long concessions line, "waiting… all night."
"Oooh, that's so sweet! Thank you Biq! Would you mind getting some Ozcorn for Miss Nessarose too?"
About a half an hour later, they'd succeed to move five feet.
"Goooood neeeeewwwwsssss! We've moooovved!"
"NO SINGING!"
"You don't like musicals, do you?"
Ten minutes, and six inches, later.
"Wai-TING, wai-TING, wai-TING," Elphaba hummed to herself, "Son of a munchkin, I'm doing it too!"
"Let's just say," agreed Galinda.
"WE LOATH THIS LINE!" they sang to together.
Twenty-five minutes, thirty-two seconds, and 2.5 feet later.
"One long line! In the moo-vie theater!"
"oh, great, more singing." Elphaba muttered.
"Oh! I've always wanted to see this movie!" Galinda said.
"One long line! Full of people waiting!"
"We're just so bored," Elphaba sang.
"Just TOOOO bored!" Galinda sang.
"Sharing one horrible one looonnggg-"
"I can take your tickets now!"
"-Liiiiiinnnnnnnnnneeeeeeeeeeee!"
